look, personally im not bothered, im just saying if you make a bazooka and say oh people can use this to open their cans of soup....its kinda hard to play the "oh what seriouslypurpose != use
Realistically the only use of breaking sig checks is piracy, the amount of other use cases is extremely minor at the current time. I mean, look at the AGB_FIRM thread, now everyone is pirating (or not pirating, some people make their own backups and I respect that) GBA games to run on their 3DS. Everyone keeps asking why their Smash isn't working on their old3DS (because they pirated it), everyone keeps complaining about not being able to run Xenoblade. The main reason 3dsdev hates some of the pasta developers is because they read what you say, you might say you say one thing but really say another. They also don't appreciate people who beg for information and then badmouth them when you obtain what they want. As long as you go into 3dsdev respectfully and don't beg or badmouth outside of 3dsdev you're pretty much OK.When you watch #3dsdev, you learn every day...
For example, this day, I learned that Pasta CFW main purpose is piracy.
Me and the other devs didn't create that CFW for piracy, but obviously we were wrong.
Of course we do know that the main use of Pasta is piracy (sadly), but I thought we didn't create the CFW for piracy.
I did learn that other people know better than ourselves why we do things.
Of course that's irony for those who didn't understand.
One thing I don't understand is.... why? If they were going to create a CFW and release it, just what could they have done to allow homebrew with blacklisting Roms? Can't be done, atleast I don't think it could be done. Opening one up means allowing it all.I'm not kidding to myself.
But what I reproach to "pasta's main purpose is piracy" that I read in #3dsdev is the word purpose.
WE DID NOT CREATE PASTA FOR PIRACY. ONCE FOR ALL.
"pasta devs aren't welcome because pasta's main purpose is piracy"
Our goal was "unlock the 3DS".One thing I don't understand is.... why? If they were going to create a CFW and release it, just what could they have done to allow homebrew with blacklisting Roms? Can't be done, atleast I don't think it could be done. Opening one up means allowing it all.
Pasta devs are not welcome in #3dsdev. Whatever you want to do. It's stated in the topic. as would cell09 who made NTR which has a very good and useful feature set all without enabling any sort of piracy (maybe with the exception of gameboy roms if you use layeredFS)....but again i can't express this enough, i genuinely don't care what people do/make/release thats upto them, but we all know what the main use of pasta iswelp, @Roxas75 would strongly disagree with you ^^
At time I checked it isn't in the topic. I think neimod got de-OP'd over too much banning though, as long as you aren't a dick about being in there you should be fine tbh.Our goal was "unlock the 3DS".
Nothing more. Nothing less.
When emuNAND will be finished, it will allow to change region without having a SecureInfoA donor.
There ARE legitimate uses of Pasta.

well, my point is that Roxas75 found a way to disable sig checks without allowing ROMS to run ^^ NTR doesn't (AFAIK)as would cell09 who made NTR which has a very good and useful feature set all without enabling any sort of piracy (maybe with the exception of gameboy roms if you use layeredFS)....but again i can't express this enough, i genuinely don't care what people do/make/release thats upto them, but we all know what the main use of pasta is![]()

Don't get me wrong, I love watching what you guys are doing, unlocking a system is something that I love seeing happen! Ever since I was a kid, hacking was something I was always interested in, but never had the time nor patience to learn the skills! If I could, I easily jump in aswell XDOur goal was "unlock the 3DS".

just checked right now :At time I checked it isn't in the topic. I think neimod got de-OP'd over too much banning though, as long as you aren't a dick about being in there you should be fine tbh.
Topic is 'Welcome to #3DSdev! No warez (including flashcard talk)/sdk/leaks, kthx | italians welcome again, pasta devs not | offtopic: #3dsdev-ot | ninjhax still blocked'
Fwiw, my saying "pasta's main purpose is piracy" was just a reflection of the general opinion of those in #3dsdev and answering the question of why it was banned, I didn't mean to speak for you or the other project devs.
I was the one who had found the paste/instructions for the whole thing. Would that make me a contributor? I'd like to be a part of #3dsdev as I'm learning C and would definitely would like some pointers and help on making 3DS homebrew, but I'm not entirely sure that "Posting the paste for the public to see" counts as being a dev for Pasta. I truly appreciate Pasta and what it may bring in the future as I wait for KARL, but if there is some sort of prejudice towards these devs, then I dunno whether I'd rather be with the Prejudice Devs or the Pasta Devs.Fwiw, my saying "pasta's main purpose is piracy" was just a reflection of the general opinion of those in #3dsdev and answering the question of why it was banned, I didn't mean to speak for you or the other project devs.
