THE CURRENT VERSION OF PASTA CFW IS : 1.2.1

Welcome to the official Pasta CFW technical support thread! Here, please feel free to tell the problems you encounter with Pasta CFW. The developpers or experienced users will answer you.
But please read the FAQ before!

FAQ :

Question : Does Pasta CFW work on 9.7?
Answer : NO! The supported versions are all versions from 4.1 to 9.2

Question : How do I launch Pasta CFW?
Answer : Please follow the tutorial on the main thread.

Question : Pasta CFW crashes!
Answer : Please use the latest stable version : 1.2.1

Question : I get a database error when installing CIAs!
Answer : If you get an error when installing a CIA with FBI, remember to make a title.db file in your "Nintendo 3DS/id1/id2/dbs" folder, and go to software management to fix the issue, you will then be able to install CIAs with FBI.

Question : I get another error when installing CIAs!
Answer : If that error is not a signature checks failed error, it is either :
-Your CIA that is bad or
-This CIA needs an higher version of sysNAND.
It is NOT Pasta fault.

Question : Can I eat Pasta CFW?
Answer : Well...

Thanks for this thread :)

So, booting Pasta CFW through MSET works perfectly! Also installed a legit SSB4 CIA.
But it gives an SD Card Removed error. Possibly because I have 4.5.

So I decided to setup rxTools which is 9.7 emuNAND.
Why doesn't SSB4 show up there?

Did you setup your emuNAND after or before installing your legit CIA?

Linked or unlinked?

I have no clue, sorry. I didn't do anything else after so...
Pokémon Rumble World, 10 Second Run (DSiWare), 1001 Block Busters (DSIWare) shows up in rxTools emuNAND but not in sysNAND.
I had those legit purchases from the eShop a couple years ago, so I could redownload them.

So linked I guess.
Anyway, it doesn't matter, because your ticket aren't installed to the SD but to the NAND.
A ticket is a license to use a program on the 3ds.
No ticket = no right to use that program

Here's something related to pasta since it's the only way to run dsiware. There's a good tutorial on ripping dsiware to nds but nothing related to converting that nds to a cia.

So I'm trying to go online on SSB 3DS when I get an error saying that I have to update the game before going online. But I've already updated the game with a cia file, so I don't know what the problem is here... I have the legit cia of the game installed. I've also tried installing the update directly from eShop, but I still get the same result. The game still says 1.0.1 after I've installed the 1.0.7 update. It even says it's installed in software management settings. My theory is taht when I launch the game on PastaCFW it goes back to sysNand and launches it from there...

Edit: Welp, somehow I bricked my 3DS while trying to fix this. GG. Still, a solution for the update would be nice for use when I've restored my NAND.

Reveal yourself! (waves wand)

Ok, better.

SSB just doesn't seem to work right on pasta with old3ds. The ram-increasing reboot clears pasta patches methinks.
btw, what did you do to brick the 3ds? Install SSB to NAND? lol
