I'm no longer working on this.
Unofficial working build: http://www.mediafire.com/download/k1qocs118ls8aag/FCEUUM.zip

Source: https://github.com/Steveice10/FCEUMM3DS

FCEUMM3DS is a quick port (maybe an hour or two) I made of the FCEUMM libretro core to the 3DS, based on my existing Nestopia port. The official RetroArch port to 3DS will likely be better than this, but since I had most of the work already done, I figured I might as well plug the FCEUMM core into my existing work to have something much nicer than Nestopia until the official port is stable and easy to use.

The emulator seems to run at near full speed, at least with Super Mario Bros. It isn't quite running at full speed though, which is evident from the choppy sound quality. It's definitely a lot faster than Nestopia was.

A wonderful first start on an excellent NES emulator. Other then it being a little slow and the sound being a little skippy sounding, it looks like its almost perfect. I tested the emulator with Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3, but didnt try any FDS games yet. I did notice that if you use the CIA version of the emulator, if you press Home, the game screen goes and stays black, even if you pick a new game. Also, if you close the emulator, the 3DS crashes. I didnt check the Ninjhax version yet but will soon. A few suggestions to make this emulator better would be to fix the sound problem, speed it up just a tad, add a reset option, add FDS support (if it doesnt have it), and fix the problems that happen when the Home button is pressed on the CIA version. Other then that, you have yet another winner to add to your list of awesome emulators.

I have tried 20+ ROMs now. This is without doubt the best NES emulator on the 3DS right now! The speed is a little slow. I think that is why the sound is choppy. So If you get the speed performance up I believe the sound will be near perfect! There are no graphical glitches in those games I played. Besides Clu Clu Land, Punch out, Puzznic and those games that are glitchy in almost every emulator, even PC emulators. So dont bother about that! :)

Speedboost this emulator a little and this will be the first perfect NES emulator on the 3DS =)

Just tested the .3dsx version, I had no bugs when exiting to the launcher, it seems to work great, it only needs a bit of speed improvement and it'll be good to go :D

I can't stop loving you dude ^^

That's great news, I've been waiting for this, will try out tonight :D

Maybe we'll soon see the third good emu available for the 3DS...

I guess the other two are: BlargSnes & Gameyob 3DS? =) This is not really in that kind of state yet. But Steveice put a couple at hours at this port and it is already this great! So I believe this will be the third good emu on the 3DS!!! =)

The exit bug should be fixed now, and I added a reset option in the menu. It should already have FDS support, although I believe the FDS BIOS (disksys.rom) needs to be in the root of your SD card. The game screen disappearing after returning from the home menu is a known issue with GPU rendering that I still haven't figured out yet, and the sound skipping is due to the slowness, so if I can speed it up a little it should go away.

How about a frameskipper? Retroarch itself has a policy of not using frameskipping, but you don't need to abide by that here.
