Yes it does. However, if you're on an old 3DS, it runs slow.

I only have homebrew capabilities right now. I lost my American N3DS that was on CFW and only have my Jpn N3DS that was never hacked and since Soundhax was just released I can't really do much until I hack. I don't have any DSiWare games on my Jpn console.
Also I know a few others. Like Snes9x, but does that also play NES. Like the MyGBA doesn't play GB or GBC games. At least last time I checked.

Well I did say I had a Japanese New 3DS a bit earlier. lmao

Yup, that's it.

You can go to this thread if you have any doubts-questions https://gbatemp.net/threads/retroarch-emulation-thread-nightly-builds-included.400913/

Thanks for the help guys.

Only Snes, Nes works well with quicknes (altought accuracy isn't as good as other alternatives in retroarch).

The way this is worded confuses me. So what you're saying is it DOESN'T play NES, Only SNES?

To emphasise, O3DS users should use QuickNes (Retroarch) for Nes and 'Snes9x for O3DS' (non-Retroarch) for Snes. blargSnes is a good fallback.

You won't get decent speeds from anything else.

Bump, please excuse me if this is the wrong place, but @bubble2k16 , will you ever get to porting FCEUMM to 3DS? It supports extra mappers. The retroarch FCEUMM 3DS build is slow, from what I remember.

Thanks for the input - they work great on my original 2DS
