Is there a way to change the brightness on this? When I'm in the DS lite's startup menu, I always have the brightness set to the second lowest, but when the card comes on, it's brightness is at the highest and it's like that for every game. I'm getting like 2 hours of battery life max.

The DSTT based cards from R4i-sdhc always boot with maximum brightness on a DS Lite. If I recall correctly, you have to use the left trigger to adjust the brightness after the menu has booted and you go into the games list. Another solution would be to use YSMenu, which will use the brightness you have set in the DS Lite official menu.

I have the www.r4isdhc.com, how can I use YSMenu?

The firmware of this card looks very ugly.

'R4SDHC' won't work. Try the 2 folders I quoted above.

Ok it worked! I'm running Roms in that way, so can you pass me the file to automatically boot to that menu?

Question: Seeing that this YS Menu version does works with my card please please tell me that I can boot from monshell 2.10 and run games just like I do with my DSTT!

EDIT: I just tested the DSTTi-Clone YSMenu and I think it doesn't works, when I'm trying to run a game it tells me Unsoported DLDI Name.

I don't know about moonshell, I just use the regular YSMenu Browser. Which folder worked. Did you try them both?

I just tried the R4i-SDHC YSmenu model.

It's a shame, I would love to have the Monshell 2.10 launcher for commercial roms again :/

EDIT:

How will you modify the R4.dat file to boot automatically to YSMenu?

After a lot of researching I've managed two ways to use Moonshell to run commercial Roms, honestly I don't know how I did it very well but I'll try to explain:

1.- I've passed files and folders from my DSTT to my R4iSDHC and exchanging files with the one you've suggested to me I managed to run commercial roms with moonshell, but in order to do that I needed to start YSMenu, then a Rom, and when the rom started do a soft-reset, that brought to me Moonshell with the capability to run commercial games.. but as you know this process is a bit long and doesn't deserves the effort and time though, leaving aside that... it left to work (probably I've screwed it)

2.-

- I've downloaded a fresh Moonshell 2.10, replaced the extlink folder for the one of my DSTT, put the .nds file in the monshl2 folder to run it from the R4 menu.

- Now added the YSMenu file from the Retrogamefan folder and put it in a new folder called "YSMenu"

- In that way I'm able to run commercial roms just selecting the moonshell menu (in the middle) and that means that is running YSMenu isn't? now just left to be able to autoboot it... which I don't know how to proceed.

I'll post a file when I'm home later. Just try this first without getting moonshell files involved just yet, so we can see if it autoboots.

Thanks in advance a kindly note:

When I run YSMenu from my R4 firmware it auto boots the last game I've played through Monshell... I can see that the .ini file has it there, if you are able to modify this file won't auto boot my last game?

I haven't used Moonshell for years. YSMenu does everything I need, AP Fixes, cheats, Passme, and GBA launching from slot-2.
Try this package without any moonshell stuff at first just to see if it autoboots. It boots with a skin that I modified, and is easier on the eye than the current default one. The latest dats are also included.

R4i-SDHC YSMenu (autoboot)

If this doesn't work, I have another file to try.

Just tried it... it automatically boots my last rom played, JUS, but I just replaced it from my stuff.. I've changed to 1 the autoboot stuff in the .ini file and it works correctly...

Good stuff, I'm glad it worked. You're better using YSMenu for commercial roms as it provides AP fixes for those games that need it, and launching Moonshell from YSMenu for whatever else you need it for.

I really appreciate your help, but I'm wondering how did you modify the.... R4.dat file? am I correct?

I know that it can runs monshell from it, but can you help me with booting straight with the moonshell file? Indeed from moonshell 2.10 I can access to YSmenu as well.

I can pass you the main files I've used to make this work if you want to.

I used hexworkshop. I will look now at autobooting Moonshell. Send me what you need.
