You're getting a .sh file because you're accessing the site form an OS that handles .sh files. If you want the .exe file, you need to go there from an OS that handles .exe files: Windows.

I've got nothing, two different computers both on 7, both on different networks. I've tried pinging nintendozone and it doesn't reply with any pings.

EDIT: I was able to download it with the direct link on my phone, then transfer it over usb to my windows 7 laptop. I was able to get to it through my wifi, not lan. Also, but it was flagging it as a virus and wouldn't let me do anything with it.

umh...tonight i was able to connect and streetpass many mii.
however, after a while, circa 30 mac address,it stopped getting packets and of course streetpass.
while i was searching for the problem, i found that ConsoleNintendo3DS connection get a APIPA ipv4 address, something like 169.254.x.x
Before it was in the range of 192.168.x.x....dont know why it changed....tried to: reset modem, disable and renable virtual connection with netsh wlan start/stop hostednetwork, unistall network adapter and reinstall.
here's a screen of that my connections look like:

also i've noticed that in the first run of nzone.exe virtual connection doesn't get a spoofed mac address, but in the first run uses the real mac address. when for the first time it disconnect and reconnects ,gets the spoofed mac.
Anyone can help me?thanks

I tried to set up a relay using a TP-Link WR740N (Version 4.23). I first tried DD-WRT, but couldn't save the nzone script to it. So I tried OpenWRT, and I could download and run the nzone script, and even managed to get it running on one 3DS a single time. But it didn't work for my other 3DS, and now I can't get the router to cycle through MAC addresses. Does anyone have any idea on what to do? Has anyone managed to make a relay using this router?

EDIT: And then suddenly it worked. I have no idea what's going on.

EDIT: Now the Wi-Fi module crashes every few minutes. Like I said, no idea at all.

Sadly, DD-WRT method isn't working for me. When I try the script, the response is: /bin/sh: eval: line 1: chmod: not found /bin/sh: eval: line 1: /tmp/nzone.sh: not found
And when I try the V3 beta script: /bin/sh: eval: line 1: /tmp/nzone.sh: not found

What am I doing wrong? It worked before. It's a TL-WR841ND revision v5 with v24, normal build DD-WRT.
Also my router doesn't respond or refuses connection with DHCP on. (But when I tried the script it was OK.) It's not in bridge mode... I think I've run out of ideas. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've got a question about the Windows method. As I understand, this method works by first setting up a virtual WiFi network, same as I described in my guide. However, I have two WiFi adapters in my notebook, one internal, one external. To make matters even more complicated, I can only access the internet via the internal WiFi adapters MAC, because I don't have access to the settings of the router and it uses MAC filtering. I want to use the external one for that (and also, MAC cycling) and the internal adapter should provide the internet connection and stay on it's own MAC (because MAC filtering).

Now, my question is, is there any way to tell Windows which WiFi adapter it should use for the virtual WiFi network and how to do it? i don't need detailed instructions on anything else, just this question.

d0k3 The Windows native method do not require any preconfiguretion, it configures all by itself. Unfortunately there is no way to choose which adapter to host a virtual AP, Windows will choose any available hosted-network compatible wireless adapter by itself, that is stated in Microsoft documentation.

I just found this. Maybe it is actually possible via the interface switch of netsh wlan add profile? It says, if you don't specify an interface, profiles will be added on all interfaces. I guess I'll have to try.

EDIT: Wait, you tell me Windows chooses itself? So, in the case of two adapters, we won't know for which one to change the MAC? Afaik we can't have two identical MACs in one computer, so changing both is out of question either. What will your script do in that case?

Hello

I was wondering if someone could please help me out a bit regarding Mac OSX installation. I've followed the directions directly (I think) but when it comes down to the sudo command to fake the MAC address, I just keep getting bad request.

Could someone help me out please?

My computer is a Mac running OSX (10.5.8) and it isn't compatible with newer versions
The router I have is the BT Business Hub 3(or 5) and I have tried NintendoSpotPass 1 and 2 SSIDs for the shared network
I'm also from the UK
I tried adding the Wi-Fi phrase to the command but had no luck with it

Thanks in advance
Leon

My script detects which phisical adapter hosts the virtual one and changes MAC for the exact physical adapter. BUT! As soon as sript triggers adapter down to change the MAC, Windows relocates the hosted virtual adapter to another compatible. Don't waste your time, I read in clear text on MS website that there is no way to select on which on the adapter it is hosted.

So, I came back after a couple months to see if there was any updates on getting the Homepass working. First thing I tried to do was download the maccheck.cmd, and the page is giving me a "Could not load" error. So I'm going to just go ahead and ask... What all do I need to setup the homepass again, since the most recent update 9.6.0-24U?
