Mhm. Keep in mind the save data isn't corrupted; the game loads and the 3DS crashes when it's supposed to. The Gateway menu just won't load.

Were suposed to see the Gateway save game but when you start OOT, the game just tell you that the save data is corrupted and delete the save data. I don't know how you pass that

I have an idea. What if they release a FPGA update that turns GW red card into sky3ds only when inserted in sysnand. So we will be able to boot OOT and its save file to boot GW without need of original cartridge and dongle/old3ds.

Ok I've formatted my emunand. However, according to the guide, once I boot into gateway mode I should say GW3D 9.0.0-20u. Right now it says Ver. 9.0.0-20u. I'm kinda of scared of running a system updated and updating my sysnand instead of my emunand. Should I be running in Classic Mode or Gateway Mode?

I'm kinda of scared of running a system updated and updating my sysnand instead of my emunand. Should I be running in Classic Mode or Gateway Mode?

dont update!....you need to pick format emunand from the gateway menu first.....and also before that, get a nand backup and store it in a safe place

Try running in GW mode again. You NEED that GW3D on there.

Being able to run every 3ds game ever made + being able to run them in multiple ways such as .CIa/3ds roms and even being able to play them online while using homebrew etc. which is the cheapest and Safest Method

I wonder how the people who sold their Gateways for Sky3DS feel now that Gateway released the update.

Probably pretty good. KARL3DS is bringing the homebrew to Sky3DS, and Sky3DS still works to load ROMs. The only disadvantages I can think of are that Sky3DS still can't install cias, and at some point in the future, Sky3DS may be blocked, so they won't be able to install any game updates, and might get locked out of multiplayer.

Edit: just realized though, that if you want to load KARL3DS with Sky3DS, you need to be on 9.2 sysnand, and sysnand is where Sky3DS loads ROMs. So, they're locked out of updates anyway. Maybe they feel silly after all.

OK, system transfer works well. Only thing is that I screwed at some point and my system thought I already used a microSD in my old 3DS. Now I have to redownload all my stuff from the eshop. Well, no problem.

everyone knows its not required..........some people dont really care, personally i say it was well worth the money, gateway have done a lot for the 3DS scene, believe it or not the super amazing KARL3DS also requires exploits released by gateway to function....i see buying a gateway card as supporting the scene, something many people seem to think they shouldn't do, yeah gateway make money, but that money helps develop new exploits, without these new exploit everyone would still be fapping over 4.x old 3DS's
