How about no? There are plenty of people who bought GW for the region free feature and the fact that you can backup all your games on a single card. Playing modded and using custom roms is also a neat feature that GW offers.

As you may or may not know there are also lots of ways to backup a GBA game and the fact that someone wants to play them on their 3DS doesnt mean theyre pirating.

So next time before you start pointing fingers, take a moment and think before you speak :teach::whip:

Oh, i am sorry, did i hurt your feelings?

100% of Gateway users are pirates. But a part of them denies it out of shame. You can cry "region free" all you want, but if you really need that, just buy another region's device, problem solved... Not that much more expensive either. A GW+ 2 memory cards is already half the cost of a second console...

Next time before saying that someone far more smarter than you didn't think before he wrote, try to be honest with yourself...

ARRRGGGHHH BITCH I PLAY SNES/NES ON MY 3DSXL TOO MATEY.

So, let me get this straight: Gateway should prioritize GBA VC because out of the 1% of gamers without a 3yr old smartphone, PC, Tablet, PSP, GBA, but only a 3DS, a small portion of it wants to play a decade year old handheld roms instead of currently published games?

LOL

For a GBA, you'd require a separate flashcart device - and OG GBA's have no backlight and the SP has shitty ergonomics. Tablets and smartphones have no buttons, or you'd have to buy one of those clip on things and a wireless controller and somehow make it work. PC isn't portable and GBA emulation on the PSP is hardly perfect. Not all games run properly (unless they fixed Golden Sun at some point?) and I personally hate the frameskip. Not to mention that not everyone owns a PSP.

Why would you hurt my feelings LOL. The fact is that youre acting ignorant, I personally know 5 people who use GW for the region free feature, and there are a bunch more in the modding scene. Also, its "more intelligent" so theres the irony in that. :whip::closedeyes:

Κόιτα ποιός μιλάει.*
Do you have a source for that?

*THIS MEANS "LOOK WHO'S TALKING" (ALSO A REFERENCE TO THE MOVIE OF THE SAME NAME), FOR ALL YOU GUYS WHO DON'T SPEAK GREEK. ~Veho

LOL what?
Even so, if they are or not, exactly how does THAT affect you?

There are a LOT of pros to using just one flashcard for all your 3DS games instead of carrying around 8-10 cartridges, even more annoying when there are kids fucking around everywhere and leaving stuff in all places.

Homebrew, emuNAND, legal eShop access, it is all worth a debate into it.

But hat has nothing to do with the main topic, so drop it off or you'll get your posts removed for being off topic in this thread.
Again, this is not an antipiracy debate. It is about GBA VC support for Gateway.

That's good to hear, though honestly at this point, I'd prefer a decent GBA emulator. GBA VC doesn't even have save states, after all.
But so far GBA VC injects are the only way you have right now to play GBA games properly until CitrAGB gets more updates.

EVENTUALLY™

But in all honestly, I can't wait for GBA support. So many good games to go back and enjoy. Golden Sun is the best new franchise on a portable I can ever recall. And I'd also rather play it on my 3DS where all my other games are stored that on a shitty touchscreen phone.

How long has blizzard been in business? It's been quite a while I'm sure, and they've completed maybe 5 games the whole time. They started working on rock n roll racing for the snes when the magnavox odyssee came out. They are the true kings of procrastination. Valve and gateway have nothing on them.

why not get a ds two for gba and live with it? its a solution to your problem right now and you would be happy playing, snes, gba, genesis, etc on your 3ds

Because Snes emulation on the DS TWO sucks and BlargSnes is far superior, for GBA, it would suffice.

I'm actually kinda curious how the GBA VC injects are actually run (as in, interpreted vs dynrec). GBA VC would be great, but if there's anything which could help gpsp or other emulators harness more of the ability to set memory executable that would be fantastic. Unfortunately as of now it seems half of the needed stuff is stuck in the ARM11 kernel, so it might not end up happening without some sort of ARM11 kernel hax or something.

As for DSi stuff, I'm really hoping for some injection stuff there. Being able to digitize all my DS carts and have them on my 3DS would be amazing.

Who cares about VC? Seriously...

Gateway is used by PIRATES. Pirates can play every gba game they want on almost any device they want using emulators. Gba is not resource intensive to emulate, and most smartphones can do it easily.

Why would you need the limited GBA VC selection on the 3DS?

Other features like proper New 3DS support are MUCH MORE IMPORTANT...

Well, there's quite a few reasons why this would be considered important. Aside from the obvious having all the features in one device argument, this could lead to ROM injections on the GBA VC front. Why is this important/interesting? Well the 3DS's various "emulators" go to great lengths in perfectly replicating the original hardware experience, even going as far as to completely boot the system into a mode that almost completely replicates the system's various timings and processing for some systems. Obviously, they aren't perfect. (SEE: ENGAGE RIDLEY MOTHER FUCKER) However, it is something most emulators cannot do even with a BIOS file loaded. Getting as close to the original hardware experience is as good a goal as any in the 3DS scene, at least in my eyes.

Funnily enough, GBA on 3DS isn't emulation, but rather, a virtual machine more than anything; no save states, suspend mode or anything fancy.
