My brother has a Logitech F310 controller (this one: http://gaming.logitech.com/assets/47832/2/f310-gaming-gamepad-images.png ), and we're supposed to get a Xbox 360 soon, so i would like to know if i could connect it to the USB ports of the console to use it, i'm asking because my PC recognizes it as an Xbox 360 controller (which is basically the same with the Dualshock sticks placement).
If someone knows if i can or not, let me know.

On the back of F310 there is a tab for selecting Xinput or Directinput. Keep it to Xinput and you'll be fine, no mod.

Yes, F310 supports Xinput. You'll be fine.

its x input but is not compatible with xbox.....

i have the f710, wich is the wireless version (the same thing) in the manual it says it is not compatible with xbox360...

Really? Xbox 360 probably have issue with the wireless receiver itself. I have a Thrustmaster controller (another XInput controller, yes that's how Microsoft spells them), and it works on X360.

Ok, so now i'm confused, can i use as is yes or no?, or do i have to install a mod or driver?

I really see no reason why it shouldn't. Just wait for X360 and test it firsthand. I don't have any Logitech controller to test it out for you.

I personally prefer first party controllers.
Purely cause of issues like this and uncertainty of it working/being durable.

A X360 controller costs in my country: 1000 lempiras (about 50$), so i don't think that will be an option. if i can use the Gamepad, then that would be ultra helpful, but i don't know if it can be used in the console

Controllers shouldn't cost 50 euu ess dee everywhere. I bet money there are 3rd party controllers that are less than 30 and work better than first party controllers.
This applies to any and every game console ever.

Are there rapid fire PC controllers (wires or wireless) that work with 360?
