I know it's pretty much been overcome now, but I was wondering why there was a 10 game limit to begin with? What type of limitation caused this?

Wow, how crooked of them. I'm glad Gateway is releasing 9.2 support, I hope it takes their business/forces them to remove their limitation.

They wanted to reveal to people/customers that their cards were not updateable and that you had to buy a new one for each new feature. But hey there are only 16 millions colors and they have only gone through 2 colors so far.
It seems like a silly business model but there's a sucker born every minute.

The cart was unable to move saves from EEPROM to the SD card, so it had to limit the number of games. It overcomes that problem by forcing games to save to SD instead of EEPROM.

i mean like getway with 3dz rom

If the ROM supports playing online and has the right header, or you've injected your own header, then you can play online with sky3ds.

Headers have unique signatures so scene dumps remove them since they would burn that header for their own online play. not to mention that the header could be traced back to the dumper; although that would be pretty rare.
