Can anyone (Mainly the hackers, MarioNumber1 and others) look into the recent update if they indeed fixed the error codes, if they changed how the Wii U handles saving/deleting/formatting? If it's possible, how the Smash Update data saves after online mode (mainly 'For Glory' mode) and 'Crazy Orders'mode.

I really hope they fixed it!

Thanks in advance!

Keep an eye on wiimpersonator (dont know the link off hand, google it). Its regularly updated with all the latest details of each update (upon close inspection), although to my knowledge, nobody's broken the encryption on the updates yet, so the posts are generally based on info gathered from all corners of the interwebs :P

Ninty's trying to secure their **** apparently because they're aware that the wii u is about to be blown wide open lol

When the Wii U's hacked what does it offer that the original firmware doesn't? Allows to watch normal Blu-rays and DVDs?

I don't see playing Wii U games as something to praise since there's not that many and someone who wanted already played them (and kept/sold them) already.

The WiiU having it's own homebrew app and not being forced to softmod the vWii to make/run new homebrew on what's already very outdated hardware, well, on an interpreter at least. Utilizing the full power of the WiiU console will be like a breath of fresh air! I would instantly hope to see a Dreamcast emulator, and even PSOne and N64 emulators that actually run well! PPSSPP as well! You could not do any of those on the original Wii. Hell, I would LOVE to see someone port the Limelight Streamer so I can stream my PC games to the wii! The vWii is probably not strong enough. And the biggest thing for me is the ability to make the console region free! I'm gonna import a copy of Monster Hunter Frontier G and wait for the WiiU to get it's region lock cracked. There is NO WAY IN HELL I'm gonna buy another console just to play one import. Nintendo consoles are probably the best with Homebrew.

Whoa, all of this sounds awesome! I might buy an additional Wii U just for when the time comes.

Yea, that's one of the reasons, the other is for people to play pirated or backed up copies their legally owned games, which is what all the Nintendont and USB Loader fuss is about here. I don't like to go through that trouble, if I want a game, I'll just buy it. lol

The Wii U is only 2 years old. A console generation is 6 years. There are a lot of great Wii U games yet to come. Plus, there is customization. I want custom mario kart, custom brawl, and custom 3D world.

The Wii U is way more powerful than the Wii, the potential for better emulators is huge, once the Wii U OS is exploited and emulators can be ported over, well, then we can actually get decent PS1 and N64 for once. PPSSPP is so well-optimized it runs on countless Android devices, it could be ported to the Wii U. The system requirements for PSP emulation on PC are somewhat light all things considered.
