Now it is safe to say apart from Nintendo, NO ONE is/will make games for Wii U for the foreseeable future. Although sad I am ok with this as I look at my Wii U not as the main gaming device. I have to mention I am talking about AAA games not indie games...
Now I really do not understand why Nintendo is not announcing a Metroid game...! All of the previous Metroid games on GC and Wii were well received and I believe sold moderately well. Considering Nintendo relies on their own property to move console units, I cant understand why they are not making a new Metroid game for Wii U, or are they...?

They probably are. If Marjoas Mask 3D was in development immediately after OoT 3D, and we just now found out about it, I wouldn't be surprised if Metroid is taking the same path. The game is just too fun for them not to make it..

But I can still dream if they don't <3 Corruption.

Pff Metroid? Who wants that when we have like six Mario games.

New Super Mario Bros. U
Super Mario 3D World
Mario Kart 8
Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
Mario Party 10
Mario Maker

Now seriously, Nintendo needs to get off from making so many fucking Mario games (as well as Zelda remakes) and revive old franchises that have been dead for a while.

More Mario! Moar Mario!
On a serious note, I totally agree with TS. I was hoping at least we'll get an announcement for an awesome Metroid game.
Let's just hope it'll be announced earlier next year.

You'd have better luck around 2018-19 (Nintendo home consoles usually have a lifespan of 6-7 years) when Nintendo unveils their new home console.

Wii U's done for but hey at least there's um, Bayonetta 2, Mario 3D World, Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Mario Kart 8, Zelda 2015, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8, Lego City Undercover and a couple other exclusives.

The loading times on physical Wii U games are sometimes terribly long (1min!).

After Other M... it's hard to say, but I am one of those people who believe the Metroid franchise will come back, they've done it in the past.

I regret buying my Wii U, and the only reason I still have it is I have been hoping for a new Metroid game. I doubt Nintendo will make a new Metroid game. Maybe its time to dig my POS Wii U out of the closet and sell it, after all its been in there for at least 6 months.

Metroid is the only reason you bought a Wii U for? You should've waited if that's all you wanted.

2016-2018 is blank as of now for Wii U so who knows if we're getting Metroid: Prime Trilogy HD or something.

No there were other games, but those game were not worth it. I also said that it is the only reason I still have it, not that it is the only reason I bought it.

I think nintendo still hurting from other M, would be nice, using the touch pad as a visor to look around.
hopefully this time less story and more action.

Another idea I have seen would be to use controls similar to Prime 3, and use the touchpad for the controls on the gun.

Which games were they?

Nintendo made a limited print of Prime Trilogy for Wii and that screwed most of us who wanted to own it but because it went out of print the prices sky rocketed so if they want to get back to it they can start with an HD collection of it.

They're also aware that the fans want a new F-Zero but their reason or excuse is that they've got no new ideas or whatever but then there's a new Mario spin-off every now and then.
