Hi:

I want to know how to remove the rumble feature from a N64 rom; I am playing Daffy Duck as Duck Dodgers (its the Euro Version because it plays better) on my Wii U, the problem is that It vibrates with every move that I make, thats why I want to know how to remove the rumble feature.

I made a WUP of that game and installed it on my Wii U using Wup Installer and I need to know how to alter the ROM in order to deactivate the rumble option, I already know how to make the game widescreen and without the dark filter so I have an idea of how to alter a rom, but I need to know which file I have to alter.

Thanks for your time

Are you playing it with the wii u gamepad? There is an option under home screen button and settings to toggle it on or off

Never heard of anyone wanting to disable rumble... I add rumble to any and every game I can accross all platforms, whenever at all possible. Even my own homebrew.
I have no problems with rumble at all, the problem is that in this game its turned on almost all the time...

It's been ages since I've tinkered with the N64 virtual console games (it may have been roughly a decade!) but I know that it can be done easily if you know how. There's a setting that you can change to remove the Rumble Pak from the emulated controllers and use a Controller Pak instead - I did it for games like Mario Kart 64 and Ogre Battle 64. It's not something you can do in the VC menu though, you need to directly edit the .ini file on your installation.

Thanks, but in this case, for this game, there is not .ini file, do you know how can I do one?

Yeah there is. You need to find it by using FTPiiU. Make sure to enable the setting to view system files. This will require an external FTP client.

Next, you go to the "titles" folder in the "usr" folder of either storage_mlc (if it's in the internal memory) or storage_usb (if it's not), and then you find your game's Title ID. You'll find folders with a load of numbers - go into the one with the first half of the game's Title ID, and then the one with the second half. From there, go into the "Content" folder. There you'll go into the "config" folder. The .ini file you find in there is what you're looking for. From there, you can remove the line that says "RumblePak = 1" from the file. If the game supports Controller Paks, I recommend replacing it with one that says "MemPak = 1" to make use of that compatibility.

This modifies the game's installation directly, so if you ever repack it to be installed on other Wii Us, your customisations will stay.

Hi: I have a problem finding the title key for this game. What I made instead is the game using LOADIINE option on uwuvci. From there I can find the files that you told me. In this case I found the config.ini file inside the "Content" Folder and the rumble option doesnt appear, so can I modify this file by adding "MemPak = 1"? How can I find the title id for this game so I can reach the game inside the console?

Thanks for your time
