Hacking Customer came in to have me "unmod" her Wii, have few issues, need help.

Ok so first I checked what was done with it, I couldn't identify everything as I didn't mod that Wii myself and I didn't do any specific diagnostics, though the Wii now refuses to update, via games or online (her Wii plainly rejects wifi) the customer expressed that what she wanted was to play any original game. So I thought updating it and removing any "visible" hacks would do.

So I thought I'd check if priiloader was installed, it is so I check the hacks. Disc updates weren't blocked and no Wifi update block were installed. So I tried blocking updates to see if her problematic game could run, it brought me to a blue screen with error 02 or 03... don't remember.

So... I guess I need help to unlock her wifi so I can update the system, I even tried installing sys menu 4.2 manually but I don,t have IOS70 which is required by it and most likely few others, so I kind of failed there too.

I guess there were hacks installed by someone else, her system menu is 4.1 do you think there could be old system menu hacks that are preventing me from updating it?

weird... syscheck seemed to crash about 70% in IOS analysis... the light bar went blinking and the controller shut off... here are the only infos I got from the file.

No bootmii backup from before modding? I personally would re-hack the Wii using modmii to update all ios(re-hack wii) then use something to remove the cios files like anytitledeleter. Should straighten out everything.

I can't get it online... it'll always give me a wifi error. even if everything should be fine. My own Wii connects great sitting right next to it.

Don't need to be online to use ModMii. It's a PC program.

I would do what mikefor20 said to do and use ModMii to re-mod the Wii. That should give you all the IOS's you need. Then uninstall Priiloader and update.

never used modmii as I was always updating mods as they came and my Wii is hacked through and through... didn't hack tons of these while I did in the past.

what should I do exactly? I'm currently downloading 4.3 sm to update her wii... then I can leave priiloader as it'll always be an easy backdoor to reinstall anything, should I ever need to fiddle with it.

I manually installed 4.3U and now it isn't blocking disk updates!

Thanks boys, modmii allowed me to download 4.3U entirely and allowed me to solve everything. I couldn't at work with NUSinstaller because our tight security wouldn't let the program download it's files, in this case the required IOSes for sys 4.3
