(2 & 1 & Z) will give you the config that used to be called naggers IR (it needs a new name now)
( 2 & +) is not currently used
(2 & 1) wont enable the ir

Oh, okay. So what is the C-Stick on 2 & 1 now?

I omitted the pic of Naggers' IR for now. and I think it should be renamed to Shooter Config.

The smaller one based on beta 5. Reason is simple: cause it can be really jarring having an almost 1:1 smooth Y axis like a real Wii game while the X axis has this "hole" in the middle. Beta 5 is close to 1:1 on X axis as well so it blends really well with Y axis sensitivity and feels more natural in aiming in GC FPS games.

Please update that pic as well as the others when you can, i'll add the new ones to the OP when they are posted. I too think Shooter config sounds nice.

I agree with this.

I updated the one pic, but what did you mean by the others?

it seems the newer revisions 2.224+ are having some issues so I didn't update past revision 223 yet.
Also it's better to wait until those bugs in official nintendont are fixed first before thinking about committing.
As for the current code I believe it's a good RC but that's Howard's call.

All testers who would like the Carbonic theme for the nunchuck mod can send me a PM. It's currently rev 223 to be used with wiiflow mastermod

Personally, i think current beta is really close to "perfect".
NC tilt is optional in FPS/Shooter config, c stick can be c&dpad or c&nc tilt in other configs, IR deadzone is configurable in FPS/shooter config, config selection is easy once you learn the button combos, B&dpad is great in naggers for GC dpad when c&dpad is cstick. Also, all the combos are serviceable now, personal favorite is Shooter/FPS for FPS & TPS games & naggers for everything else.

Once more games like GUN, Smuggler's Run, PoP Two Thrones, X Men Legends I & II, Hitman 2, Virtua Striker 2006, MK Arcade GP2 etc. become playable/unglitched with the main loader, we can have a NC beta based on that revision.
For all of my 156 of the rest of my GC games, i use beta 14 and it works amazing. Kudos to Abz, Howard & the main Nintendont team once again.

One thing that bothers me is when using IR in some games, the c stick is reversed. So when pointing left, the camera goes right, up goes down, etc. Could there be a way to invert this?

had a bit more tyan a dollar left in my account so thought id donate it, even if not enough to participate in the beta figured i might as well show my shred of support.
anyway, just curious, how well does this support multiplayer? do they all have to be nunchucks or can you combine classic, nunchuck, gc and usb controllers on this?

all bluetooth controllers can work along with GC and HID

But the IR performs flawlessly.
The issue you describe lies in the camera positioning in retail GC games with the c stick, it is the games' "fault"/choice.
That's why for some of the most popular GC games there are ocarina codes that do just what you asked, for Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess etc. they invert horizontal or/and vertical cstick camera control.

Moreover, this has already been discussed in the main nintendont thread (for a general nintendont invertion of the horizontal or vertical axis) and shot down by Howard. See reasoning here:

Personally, i agree with Howard. It should be a per game optional setting and ocarina implementation is the best way to achieve that without confusing users.

This thread has been pretty much silent in the last month, which I think would be because all the beta testers are now satisfied with the response and results of the Beta.

Will it finally be released into the Official Nintendont repo?

I this it more a reflection that I spent most of the last 2 weeks on the gamecube adapter and trying to get the released nintendont back to a stable state..

their are more enhancements that I would like to do before a release.

I do want to verify with all of you ( as only 2 of you commented on it at all ) You are all switching to the alternate IR setting and the default ir setting can be removed?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
