Im from the uk and I'm tempted to just play the us version. Would it make any difference or should i wait for the eu version? Any other people from the eu, not bothering to wait and just playing the us version?

Would there be any limitation such as pokebank transferring from eu XY to US ORAS. Probably not going to bother with pokebank though.

It seems like the regional versions are the exact same except for the game ID so it shouldn't make a difference which version you use.
However if you have a Gateway (or 4.5 CFW) you can always transfer your save file between regions using SaveDataFiler.

What difference does it make anyway. Even if EU patch did not work, you only need to grab a .cia of the NA patch and you would be good again.

Just out of curiosity with savedatafiler, can it move save files from a US .3ds game to an EUR .cia game?

Man, take my advice, wait and get an EU cart. I'm from Aus but i live in Thailand (my 3DS is EU) so i settled for a US cart just so i could play it a day earlier and SON i am regretting that decision!!!

Insert gateway card, launch exploit, hold L, select classic mode, take out red card and put OR/AS in and procede to play.

As opposed to just insert card and play!

Yes i am dialing the waaambulance now.

Well if i can simply move the save over from us rom to eu rom i see no reason not to play it now. cool.

Aye that new check gw introduced for classic mode made me pissed as well.

you can most most likely put the save over with savefiler (i can extract it from my eu rom). But if you want to be sure: there is a EU rom available. I cant link sites but if you google a 3ds iso sit you should be able to find it ;)

You still would have to do exactly the same thing even with an EU version, because it requires higher than 4.5...

Why don't you just dump the cart into a rom and play like that?

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
