My 3DS XL's battery seems loose. If i really press the back of it while it is on, the console just shuts down! :o
There was some times that i was playing and when i placed my console in some table or even just closed the console, it shuted down!
How can i solve this?

Unless you want to backup your nand send it to Nintendo then pay to have it hardmodded and rd flash your 4.x firmware might I suggest putting 2 or. 4 layers of tape in the battery compartment on the oposite end of the connector Then insert the.battery and put some on top of it? In know this is.kind of riggy. But you don't see it so it won't matter

If you send in the 3DS, you will most likely get a different, refurbished one back, so the backup will not work on it.

Electrical tape? What is that?
tape used for electricity lol it's usually black and and a little stretchy but you can use whatever tape you want just remove the back panel (2 screws) then out some tape over the battery

you are correct it is isolation tape, it has no conductivity and its used by electricians mostly, it comes in BRIGHT colours and is stretchy when you pull it.. failing that you could just buy a new battery and replace it your self.

i use this at work, same principle but its heat resistant to well over 200degrees. used in PCB repairs as it doesnt melt :)

Kapton Tape High Temperature Heat Resistant Polyimide

You could just open the 3DS and check what's going on, you just need a small philips screwdriver. The battery fits tight into its compartment so maybe it's a problem with the contact pins.
If you've never opened it before you can look at some guides here

you could probably use any type of tape you like it would only ne going on top of the battery not on the terminals or anything so insulation tape wouldn't really be necessary as its not insulating anything.......i would just thrown some bog standard tape across the battery to keep it in place.

but yeah as the last post said it could be a contact issue as i don't see how the battery would just become loose they are a pretty snug fit, see if tape fixes it, if it persists try a replacement battery as your current one may be faulty

I actually had this problem with my 3ds randomly shutting down if I pressed too hard. I took out the 2 visible bottom screws using a very small Phillips screwdriver, took out the back, took out the battery and put it back in. Voila, problem solved.

The only issue would be finding a screwdriver small enough.
