Yesterday I experienced a very weird sensation and what some would jokingly call "a glitch in the matrix."
At 8:10 PM yesterday I started my daily basic 30-min workout [think JM or P90] and I noticed right off the start that the "Warm Ups" jumping jacks seemed faster than normal. I watched the Windows Media Player counter - it was normal - but I was not convinced that something was not wrong. I figured maybe it was set to play at 1.2 or 1.5x speed. I even switched to VLC player, still it was apparently fine. As I shrugged it off and continued the workout I noticed everything was fast.
During the first circuit of strength I began the push up segment and watched the video as I did it. It really was faster. Normally I can count 1--2-- with each pushup. But it seemed like 1-2. This was the same as the jumping jacks. I looked down for barely a second to go up when I noticed the video already was at the next segment. Normally the instructor claps his hands and tells the "assistants" to hurry up prepare for squats. It was like it was just skipped! At this point I just gave up and figured the file must be having an issue.
When circuit two and three came along- there have already been multiple "glancing" s that led me to apparently lose of 30 seconds of a segment! It was crazy! I also noticed I did not feel like I was working out at all. There was no strain and I did not sweat AT ALL. I felt insane. I stared at my alarm clock and counted and only got to 32 when the minute changed. I really was seeing everything in half!
I do not know how else to describe this weird sensation. I did a quick google search after last night and am shocked that others have had similar experiences.
The best analogy I can come up with is that I was seeing 30 frames of a 60 frames per second world.
Everything was just so fast- so it was just my receiving end that could not keep up.
Has anyone here had a "time error?"
