Hacking value of 3ds 1.1.0U firmware

Does an 1.1.0U firmware 3DS have any value on its current firmware, not just monetary but for hacking purposes. I was going to update it for gateway but before I did, I thought I would ask. Ironically the blue card does not load up on it.

To my knowledge, the firmware of choice for Gateway and some homebrew is 4.1-4.5. Therefore, there is not much more (actually, possibly less) value in a firmware below that range.

Not really no it's just rare as he'll to see a 3ds on such a low firmware...might check and see if it ever got ambassador don't know how you would go about doing so without updating tho

To get ambassador didn't you have to connect it to the internet before a certain date? If it doesn't already have the ambassador games, he probably can't get them.

no its only if the console had been connected before a certain date, assuming it second hand some console may of been connected when they where first bought and then abandoned.....i know someone found out a console he got was an ambassador console after updating emunand

Get a 4.5 firmware game such as Fire Emblem (it's successful, they must still be selling it somewhere + it's a great game worth buying), and you'll be good to go.

As for ambassador games, I'm not sure if you can run GBA games downloaded into your emuNAND on your realNAND. Might be worth a try, though it won't do much good until Gateway gets 9.0 working.

nope the gba games would be unplayable,but if/when gateway get 9.0 working, if it was an ambassador console, he might be able to sell them and to a system transfer of them to someone

To check to see if you can actually get them is prolly the first step you should take, I for one got a 3DS at a yard sale and it was eligible for it in which I collected the 20 free games. If you are then all you'd have to do is call Nintendo and have them send you the ambassador cert. to the 3DS account. Seeing as you've prolly never been online with it this should even be discussed imho.

Last year when I found out I needed 4.5 to run GW, I bought a cosmo 3DS (must have been launch) from a guy off CL that was unopened and still on 1.0. I think I used Luigi DM to update to 4.5.........still I was shocked, he said he got it as a gift and was in college and just never had time to break the seal. He sold it to me for $120.
