MS has released a new Corona 360 version (Corona v7/v8?) recently.
This new version has a shrunken CGPU as well as a new PCB layout and new traces.

MS is still trying to block the RGH on the hardware level it seems.
People that buy the new Slim E versions are unable to hack their 360s as of now.

Xbox-scene said:
"KonzolozZ over at team-xecuter.com has posted info about a new Xbox 360 Corona motherboard bundled as 500GB + Fifa 15 Pack which is incompatible with RGH. Various observations from the forum post: The CGPU is without IHS, and the type is: 4672991 D-A3;X888841-001. Featuring SKhynix or ST NAND Samsung K4J10324KG-HC14 NAND flash. These are the new 500 GB consoles, the MFR DATE 2014.08.14; LOT NO./DATE: 1436X. The NAND is readable and writeable, after writing ECC it gives 0010 secondary error. The post_out fix adapter doesn't fit."

TX has a new Slim as of now and 15432 is looking at the new NAND dumps.
Fear not, Their looking for a way to RGH this console as well.
However, this could mean the CR4 will be delayed a bit.

I personally have good faith in TX, so here's to a quick, yet good solution!

Edit: The board is actually named Winchester.
Their found in the new 500 GB Fifa 15 bundles.

Tom is absolutely right, it's bizarre that they keep trying with the Xbox One around. I'd think that anyone who'd want a 360 already has one and the rest are just stragglers catching up with last gen or replacing their systems to make sure that they'll be able to play their games for years to come. It's odd to release a revision this late in the game, I'd expect Microsoft to focus their attention on revising the Xbox One for a future Slim release.

It's MS.
Always predictable yet unpredictable.

I suspect this new layout to cost them less (more removed components etc)
In terms, giving them more profits as well and locking out the RGH in the process.

Developing a board takes more then 6 months.
I guess MS is trying to extend the live of the 360?

I believe they originally planned to keep it around for 3 years after the Xbox One enters the market, so it'd seem that they want to stick to that promise.

i am also big surprised they just implanted a new chip at this stage, and didn't made that excuse of releasing a "xbox mini"
is this a bad attempt of microsoft to release last (and bad) revisions of a gen and keeping up with concurrency ideias? talking about: psp street, wii mini, gba micro (but gba micro was cool, the only mistake was release it after the ds and no support for gb\c games)

If it cuts down manufacturing costs in the long run, sure, I guess. It is odd and I don't think the additional expense for the redesign was worth it, but what can you do?

Literally said that in me previous sentence.

Well, you're talking about MS, a company that bought a hit game and company (that pretty much reached its peak way back) for 2.5 billion.
Come on, you really think MS is smart? xd

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity. It's called Xbox 360,"

I wonder if it is scarier now that they are demonstrably sincere about that.

TX said "a new post fix adapter will come out soon" - if MS was smart they should've moved the POST BGA ball on the inside, that way nobody couldn make a post-fix adapter anymore as it would require you to desolder the CGPU to do that, effectively killing RGH for good.
