I have a quick question. Currently I'm only using the normal Gateway mode still in 4.5 and not in emuNAND. Will my current saves work if I created an emuNAND after? If they do, will they still work after I update the 4.5 emuNAND to 8.x? If not, will I need to wait until the 8.x version is working and only then create new saves to ensure they keep working in the future?
Yes, your saves will still work if you create emunand. However, I can't say whether they'll still work after gateway releases 8.x fix.
i have a bit of a problem with my pokemon games. i turn on the wifi to enable the yellow screen and go to trade inferred [trade with some1 in same area, so i can trade between my 2 games without wifi] on my retail X game it says please wait after its connected and Y on gateway connects but then it does nothing. Like it auto closed/ kicked me out of it. Now how can i get them to work. I wanted to transfer some pokemon/items to my gateway Y version without going online and having a risk of banning my game/system that I just spend my money on.

do it asap b2 had the bug with diagnostics test which could lead to the 3ds being bricked....so better to update sooner rather than later
1. i go to update my emunand to 8.1 (so i can back it up and revert back to 4.5) it gets close to the end and i get a error, i'm assuming cause gateway cant boot 8.1. i guess my question is do i go ahead and backup at that point? how am i sure it updated completely? does anyone else get an error when trying to update their Emunand to 8.1?

And do I just boot into gateway normally to play online? Also is Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies available since you mentione eshop rips? :o
well the saves will be fine, and the roms on b2 where written directly so you will need to copy the actual .3ds rom on instead, you don't use win32diskimager any more, and yeah ace attorney DD has been released in .3ds format, also worth a mention pokemon X/Y and animal crossing work with 2.2 too
Yep got it on the omega release now. I have 6.3 in gateway mode. Do I need to update this for all the features you mentioned earlier to work?
nope.....do not update, the current 8.1 firmware is not compatible with emunand yet, we need to wait for a update from gateway to run 8.x in emunand
eh guys a question, what would it take to downgrade an emunand? and would this still work as writing back to the real nand by hardware mod? i mean i've read you can use emunand to recover your 3ds if it's your own, i know we can't downgrade real nand, but can we downgrade emunand? and hardwire this back? that would mean that we could use the to be released exploit in userlevel maybe to recreate the environment to use gateway...
maybe not an easy way... but that would do for me

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.+1 -

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.+1 -
