I think that a translation won't be necessary for the first version. In addition to that, he wants to make it open-source. You can make your own translation.

Well, I can't do it just yet, the files aren't public. Also, I am not a good programmer, so I don't want to brick anyone's 3DS with a stupid language patch.

I quickly made this, tried to base it off of the 3DS Software boot screen. I wasn't sure of the best way to show off the animation so I just made it into a .gif.

It's simple since I'm not exactly sure how much detail I could put into it given the 3DS limitations.

I really like this one, it feels like you are running the black and redish app boot.
Im not sure about the name tho. (Especially for the 2DS)

But im sure the animation is fine.

Made this from scratch in Adobe Illustrator. I can make the bubbles rise to the surface if you want some animation.
