try to back up your save data just to make sure,

is your PSP hackable?

are you trying to downgrade or upgrade just to clarify?

there is a known 6.20 downgrader for unhackable psp somewhere though once you are successful with the downgrading, you'll encounter a BSOD which was said to be normal....

-------------how to uninstall CFW-------

you should have the installers you used to install PRO-C on your 6.39.... first, if you're on permanent patch, uninstall first the permapatch , once done, uninstall the CFW it self via UPDATE... run it and you should see UNINSTALL there, probably triangle or L..... then you are now on 6.39 OFW...

-------------------downgrading-----
if your psp is hackable, you probably can use pandora and magic MS to downgrade your psp,

IF NOT HACKABLE... you must use the 6.20 downgrader..

------------updating to higher OFW-----
if your psp is clear on CFW... just run a official installer of OFW of your choice but you probably should aim for 6.60 ( IF YOUR PSP IS HACKABLE ) not just because it is the last OFW update, but because you can use ME to if you like ME than PRO.....

IF NOT HACKABLE... try to downgrade to 6.20 since it has permanent patch that acts like a FULL CFW...

though i think 6.39 has permanent CFW of PRO but i am not sure..... try to ask others more if your have doubts ^_^

PSP 1000?

(uo)6.60 PRO-C2 update 3 - this is an unofficial release of PRO-C2 because ColdBird didn't officially released it. The one released this if i am correct is Rahim-US....which has bug fixed for the non-working PSX titles on the official PRO-C2

the other one is ME.. honestly i can't give you enough details about ME or what's the latest version of ME but many people chooses ME over PRO for hackable PSP's but the real verdict is

either are fine... if you sticked to PRO ever since, you might probably choose PRO...

if you tried Neuron's ME CFW, and liked it, then choose ME....

there is also what they call DUAL BOOT, you can switch between PRO and ME, but i don't how they do that...
you can probably ask people on PSPISO like Coraje, if i am not mistaken, he uses DUAL BOOT...

------
by the way, i am on 6.20 uoPRO-C2 update3 by Rahim-US....PSP 3000 user

ok so i removed CIPL and unsintalled the cfw, and tried upgrading to OFW 6.60, at 89% i got a LPTFFFFFFFE error message, no way of turning the psp down and no buttons to confirm or whatever, now i removed the ac cable and battery, and restarted, but now i have no interface, nothing but the waving homescreen. :s

you probably experiencing the most common error for a hackable psp

the broken IDstorage or a broken UMD driver or whatsoever due to having too many CIPL flashes on flash0 or other reasons

......... just try using any pandora battery and a magic memory stick.. there is nothing to worry since you're using PSP 1000... it's the only way to escape 6.39 CIPL flashed OFW.... then update or downgrade to 6.20 or 6.60

do you know how to make pandora battery and magic memory stick??? all you need is an extra battery that can be used as a pandora ... an extra memory stick, 1gb is fine and an extra Hackable PSP or anything that can write to a battery's EEPROM

----------------------------------------------------------------

battery's that can be turned to pandora

if you have any of the requirements, i can upload the apps needed to make a pandora and magic memory stick,

though my pandora maker needs a hackable psp to work

EDIT---------------
uploaded the files you may need

1.) 23522_rainmmsfull (PC app for creating Magic memory stick and many other options)

2.) RainsUltraLiteMMS500v12 (PC app for just crating magic memory stick

3.) Downgrader (PSP homebrew, for downgrading your PSP to 6.20 if only you want to)

4.) PSP tool 1.00 ( PSP homebrew, for changing your battery to pandora and converting back to original)

i have tested number's 2 to 4 on my other hackable psp.... and to other psp's... this will fix yours 10000%
