Hey guys,

So for the first time ever, gateway actually crashed partway through a game (the game was Bravely Default and it just froze).

When the 3DS was manually restarted, I realized it hadn't saved the saves until the last time the game was shut down.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Also a reminder to everyone that you should exit the game since it seems the save doesn't actually save until you exit the game somehow.

Edit: It has crashed for a second time now!

this can happen, if there is an issue with the rom file, it might have gotten corrupted, I actually had the very same issue long time ago with bravely default, the game would ALWAYS freeze, when I entered a certain dungeon, so I just formatted the micro sd and wrote it back to it, then it worked again

But I logged 22 hours in it without fail!

Now it has crashed twice within a couple hours =S.

it happened to me half way through the game and worked perfectly until that point... give it a try and just replace the rom file on your card, it might work or maybe not, cant hurt to try
also you might want to try a file copy program like teracopy, windows copy function often fragments the games

So wipe the card, and then put the rom file back on?

I'll also try terracopy =)

Did you have any problems since then?

nope, was working fine after I replaced the rom, definitely was a corrupted file in my case, as the game always crashed at the same point in the game... also, if you already wipe the whole card, maybe format it with the panasonic sd formater, too
