Why didn't you include xdelta with the xdelta patch? It weights 120kb and you could've easily make .bat file to automatically patch the game.

EDIT: With DSTwo works smoothly.

Can't get it to work with either patch on DSTT, crashes on loading, unpatched works fine. Probably up to RetroGameFan to update their .dats to make it work.

I got so tired of DSTT as nothing ever worked out of the box with that card - never and using EZflash 3-in-1 with it was painful. Sold it at huutonet for 20€ and got Acekard 2i instead.

Thanks for the incredible amount of work that's clearly gone into this. I waited for the whole thing to be completed before starting, but looks like it was worth the wait.

Only issue I've found is I'm playing via DraStic on an android tablet and pressing start brings up the silhouette screen for the save options, but no options and then I can't get back to the game... Now, it's equally likely this is just an issue with DraStic, and it's completely avoidable by just saving states in the program rather than via start/save, so I'm not that worried, but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone had any advice, seeing as I was writing my thanks in here anyway.

For some feedback:

• Neither John Doe nor Knightley have voice acting in Case 1, unsure if this is normal.
• The voice prompts for presenting evidence/objections indeed don't work, and after repeatedly trying a few times the game sort of froze (only the music was still going). I even tried my hand at some japanese, no luck

Also, if you don't mind my asking, did this project have a collective paypal address?

You are the first to report they don't have voice.
About the "voice prompts", it is possible they are broken, there was some reports with other patches as well but we actually didn't touch something there apart the graphics so we are a bit cueless what happened there. Anyway it seems only a view people around use that function so we probably put that in "collateral damage"... sorry.

All: About money: i didn't make my last post to ask for money! Apart that it's illegal, a fan translation would not be a fan translation if it's made because of money. I just wanted people to stop and think for a minute about just clicking and download something without thinking about how many people, time, work and sacrifice is behind that single click.
This is not only about translation but about almost everything in the internet and get everything for free on cost of others.
I am sorry Mario92 but you are exactly a good example for this:

Is your time so precious that you can not spend 20 seconds more to click on the link in the read me to go download Xdelta??
What about all the Mac user out there that will try to use the Xdelta that would be included in the patch without success??
What about their time loss till they notice they can not use that version of Xdelta??
Why not share directly the patched rom, it would be even more easy....right??
Will you bail us out of jail then when we get caught because Capcom sued us??
Do we have to come to your home, clean and cook for you?? Maybe even put the food in your mouth because your hands are playing the game??

My post was exatly adressing this kind of "selfish" thinking of todays internet user and absolutly not asking for any money!!!

Auryn, you should take a deep breath, man. These are supposed to be good times. You guys just did something great that will not only impact this one moment in time, but will echo for years.

Just the other day I beat Neil Corlet's Seiken Densetsu 3 again... Almost two decades after the fact. These translation leave our hands to integrate something much bigger than a sum of our parts... (I translated a certain N64 game back in the day and now had a minor part in the release of Arino Chosenjou 2, hope you'll get to enjoy it, 'cause it's awesome)

Focus on the people who will truly enjoy this, who will find real joy in your work. It's a funny thing games do... They bring you emotions even when little else manages to.

PS: I do get the voice command bug on Acekard 2i, so maybe you can have a look at that eventually?

First and foremost, thank you so much for all of your efforts!
Second of all, for anyone using RetroGameFan firmware, the fully patched game has a different ID from the previous versions so you may have trouble getting the game to load. To fix this, just download this updated infolib.dat and replace your old one and it should load just fine.

Auryn, the problem is that the AP patch you addressed on the first page fails (both xdelta and beat), even if you patch it after the translation patch.

Ah yes, my bad for leaving a bit of common sense at the door Using NoZoomer 2.3.0.1 emulator and the .nds was patched with BEAT. Maybe this screenshot can help, otherwise I can try to submit more info if necessary.

Heh, no huge loss. I rarely used that function in AA series but I really enjoy Edgeworth's character for some reason, so I felt like using the mic this time. Must be the roleplayer in me

And about money, I realize that this is a sensitive topic (and that the last comment wasn't necessarily aimed at me), but I wanted to add a bit of perspective anyway.

The work you guys have done here is admirable. I work occasionally as a promoter within the indie gaming industry, and on a daily basis I've seen incredible things born from passion for games and fan projects. I've done a lot of volunteer work myself, seen a lot of it, but very few that came close (logistically, at least) to what you guys have done here - we're also talking about a project born ~4 years ago, and completed.

Words for something like this are not enough. At least, I can't find any that would do it justice. So I can't speak for others, but for me it's about offering appreciation in the best way I know. Sometimes I also do it for the sake of encouragement, because I think we owe it to our kids to create a world where dedicated, passionate work always pays off (regardless of the motivation behind it). But, that is another philosophical can of worms.

/dramatic derail. Let me just repeat that this is outstanding work, and add that I fully respect a project team/author's decision to not accept compensation.

Don't worry guys, I got maybe a bit carried away and sentimental because just 2 days ago I was surfing around in search for information/tools for my next projects and I cought myself just taking and taking without even loosing a second thinking about the people that discovered those things and their time.
When i saw the number of downloads and the number of thanks, I freak out a bit because I was thinking about my time. Sorry guys.
In the meantime I surfed the web to see how the news spread and I found many places where people said thanks and those places are places i usually not visit.
So a shout out example to 4ch, gamefaqs, NeoGaf (if you would let me in with a free mail, i would come over more often ;P) and youtube.
Even the wiki (not the wikia) has already been updated.

I wanted to make one thing clear that seemed to be scaring some people: the patch has beta in the name because it has been tested only internally in the group and we don't have all the flashcards in this world inside of the group but it has been tested by about 10 peoples between flashcards or emulators.
So there is no need to wait for the final patch especially because there is not even a planned release date for that.
The final patch will get rid of typos if you find some, it will get rid of the empty text boxes when loading a game (if Hacko can fix that), it will reimplement the compression that was in the original game and maybe a personalized patcher to make the patch / game smaller, it will fix example the error message you get in the latest Desmume that the game is bigger as the size in the header, it will fix the name you see near the icon when loading the game in flashcards (depending on the layout).

So have fun guys

UPDATE: the voice promps, it seems to depend from the flashcard. Acecard2i is working.
