I want to answer all your troll questions about technology! According to friends, I am the go-to for tech questions that would stump the majority of society and be devoid of all logic. I can answer what you may or may not want to know!

Testimonies:
  • "She really knows her stuff. Who knew water could kill electronics!"
  • "I can't believe she knew the answers to all the off-hand questions I asked. She even told me how to get to my iPhone's settings before she ever used an iPhone!"
  • "Her technology knowledge is extreme. Sora helped me install a game on Steam!"
  • "My computer background used to be a cat's butt because I accidentally changed it. Now, it's Orihime Inoue, thanks to her!"
  • "The PSP I bought didn't work because its battery died. Thanks to Sora, I learned my PSP's Wi-Fi charging component is broken, and I have to use my PSP charging cord. Thanks, Sora!"
  • "My GBA games hung out of the DS Lite, so I cut them in half. Without Sora, I would have never understood that only bootleg games could survive that!"
No questions will be denied or met with confusion! Ask now!

(Edit: Come on, guys, why not up the ante?)

Shouldn't this be in EoF?
Ah, yes, a misplaced click must have happened.

If I upgrade my 2DS, will it still play PS3 games?
Only Japanese PS3 games. The system is region locked, but for some reason they accidentally region-locked the PS3 games for the wrong region with the upgrade. In addition, you will also need a PS+ account, as the upgrade also caused 2DS systems to become unable to save PS3 save files except via the cloud backup PS+ offers. This inability to save comes from the fact that compared to the 2DS's original release, there are so many more games that require a tremendous amount of data saved to play, and so many more have overly-large patch files.

My Wii doesn't read Wii U discs. Why?
Your Wii can't read the discs because it isn't detecting a Wii Gamepad. You need to buy a GBA and a wireless link connector (i.e. the ones that came with copies of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen). However, some people have stated that they can occasionally cause a Gamepad to be detected, therefore bypassing the GBA/link requirement, by having a Balance Board connected.

on the side note
I have an upgraded 2DS but I wanna know if it will still play titan fall before I buy it.
Titanfall is a maybe. For some people, Titanfall works great. For others, it gives an error code that, when searched on Nintendo's support website, will bring up information about an error that causes the 2DS to go to sleep as if you were using a 3DS and had shut the system. No one knows exactly why this is, but the developers of the game have hypothesized it's a similar problem to the autosaving issue people had with The Last of Us before they patched their servers.

Why doesn't my iPod charge if I rub batteries on the metal back? Metal conducts electricity, right?
What kind of batteries are you using, and what kind of iPod is it? While most older iPod systems charged via AA batteries (systems without screens, such as the iPod shuffle, charged via AAA batteries), newer ones require C batteries. This is mostly due to the fact that newer iPod systems have added functionality compared to older iPod systems.

My SNES started smoking today. I took away all its cigarettes but it didn't stop. I contacted Nintendo but they raughed at me. What do?

This is actually a very common issue! Try hooking it to your TV via component cables rather than that other thing I can never remember the name of. In addition, refrain from playing any games with gratuitous amounts of fire and lava until it stops smoking (For example, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Bros., Doom). You may want to also try to use a SNES Advantage controller, but if you can use a Mouse controller, use that. Just DO NOT plug it in. The console is volatile in the state you have described, and could cause a serious fire.

Con I use my Gateway on my Wii U? Will it brick???
You mean Gateway 3DS? Of course! If you recall that little reader thing on the side of the Gamepad, just place the card face up (contacts-side down) on that spot and the system will load your Gateway up just fine. Just be sure to always update your Gateway before doing this, and never have a copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2 on your card. Now, there are anti-piracy measures against flash cards, but because of a bug it will only kick in if you have a copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2. If this happens, your system will be bricked.

But hey, it doesn't work with just Gateway 3DS! You can put any DS game on that spot exactly as I described and it will play your game on the Wii U! Just...don't use New Super Mario Bros. 2. Because of that bug.

Thanks, but the SD with the gateway files won't fit in. Should I use an original one? Where is this being sold so I can beg my parents to get me one?? They don't trust the internet...
Maybe if I use a different SD brand? I have a ''Memory Stick Pro II''.

Hmm... Are you sure you're using an SD card? "Memory Stick Pro II" is a brand of floppy disk.

Try looking at Gamestop. They have them behind the counter all the time! Just don't say it's for ROMs or they'll overcharge you by $7, and you'd have to sit through "do you want a subscription to magazine-you-don't-want?" kind of stuff either way. On the plus side, though, exchanges are free if something is tested in the store and it doesn't work.

.

Thanks for the heads up, I finally got around the error I needed to install a driver from Nintendo's official website, but I am unable to update the game. It worries me as I didn't buy the download version but the cartridge version as i dont want to wait hours for the download version but the downloaded version is pre updated any suggestions or advice as to why there is a problem with the cartridge version or is mine just a fluke.

Some copies of the cartridge have a cryptolocker virus (apparently there was a disgruntled employee), which prevents you from updating the game. You can actually work around this problem so you can update by connecting it to a computer with one of those ROM ripping devices and overwriting some of the files with an NDS Bricker.

I heard my iPad became waterproof with iOS7. I dunked it in water, and it certainly didn't feel very waterproof. Why is this happening?

You're getting interference from other devices. Turn every device using Wi-Fi off completely. Even the router, as that can REALLY interfere with your ability to get TV and Radio from satellite.

If they did that, it would cause a tornado due to the cold refrigerated air hitting the hot microwaved air.

Try installing it via the green USB port on the back with the mic symbol on top of it. You know. It looks like the one you plug your monitor into.

Why can't my PS2 get on the Apple app store, and play San Andreas? I mean my PS2 should be able to run it with its amazing Emotion engine?
You've forgotten to install AOL on your PS2. The PS2's ability to hook up to the internet is dampened severely because it's running Internet Explorer 2.

my microwave blew up. i turned it off and on again but its not working!!! WHAT DO I DO
Plug it in, press 'clear/stop' seven times, then the button to set the clock, 7-0-2, 'enter/start', and then the popcorn button. That should do a hard reset and take you to the system menu of the microwave. Navigate with the buttons as if it were the numpad of a computer, and press 'enter/start' when you see "System32". Delete that by pressing the popcorn button twice. Then turn your microwave off and on again, and everything should be working correctly.

You forgot to install the 'swimming' app! It didn't feel waterproof because it didn't know how to swim! Sadly, your iPad may have drowned. Try resuscitating it with a bit of liquid caffeine and a hammer.
