Now people wanting homebrew will be giving more money to Gateway, so much for the fight against piracy.

As for me, time to get making some homebrew! :D
suppose you could argue gateway is no longer a tool just for piracy :P there was never any lets boycott DS flashcards as they can be used for piracy so really its back to what DS flashcards where at

i think now it comes down to should a flashcard own the keys to homebrew or should the work that has been made to enable homebrew without the flashcard be released sooner rather than later if people really disagree with flashcard manufacturers

With GW's Homebrew support you could easily make one that dumps the fcram in 30 seconds or so :)

Problem is I don't have an actual GW cart. I only have an AK2i to install the exploit. I'm stuck with swapping out launcher.dat files unless someone can find a way to load homebrew .3ds files (NOT retail) from the SD card. Mostly because I don't feel like shoveling out over $70 for a flashcard.

Now I have working SDMH and RSF generation, and compiling it to .3DS, I'll take a look at banner models in few days, anyway the standart it's really sexy.
I've been trying to convert an image to CTPK (CTR package texture), but it uses an really strange form to locate framebuffer and I've got problems (now i use random bytes for it), I seen 3DSGuy have the code for convert CTPK to image (https://github.com/3DSGuy/CTR_Savedata/blob/master/icon_extractor/main.c#L126) but I can't convert it, to hard for me... Anyone know's the algorythm or something?

well its so people can do what they want, so wanting some porn games fall into that category....but still seems like a lot of effort reverse engineering a console and buying a flashcart to look a 3ds virtual boobies, you could at least as for a 3ds video player and look at real ones in 3d

maybe someone will make a nude patch for mario golf.....just watch out what balls your swinging at

Welcome to my world. Basically, all homebrew will now be made as 3DS files, and anyone that doesn't have a Gateway will be completely SOL.

Not necessarily. What little we have available for making homebrew right now compiles in a form that would at least play nicely with Smealum's homebrew loader, when he chooses to release it. We just have more options now. Anyway, here's my little contribution: One of the ctrulib test programs running on Gateway's homebrew support.

Thanks a lot to Smealum for making ctrulib in the first place, and 3DSGuy for releasing a Gateway-friendly version of makerom. I'm thinking of making a guide on how to assemble .3DS files with ctrulib and makerom, as the process can be pretty long without some instruction, but at the same time I'm not sure it would be useful to anyone who can't figure it out on their own. I'm open to feedback on the matter.
