Hi guys was wondering which of the 3ds flashcart is the best?
I bought a r4 gold but when the new 3ds firmware came it needs to solder something inside in order for it to work. Can anyone suggest a good ds flashcart?

Also can gateway play ds games?

so supercard dstwo can be used on any firmware and we dont need to replace the cart on every update? I hate the r4 since it reuqired me to purchase another newer cart since the update broke it

You don't need to solder with the R4i Gold (not the r4ids.cn one at least), you just have to cut with a knife on the PCB where the instructions tell you to, it's really simple.

Be very careful and plan every one of your moves before doing it. I have never opened a flashcart before, but it sounds like that generally would apply any time you're wanting to open something up without prior experience.

my dad in order to change my ruby battery, didn't know he had to slide the cartridge after unscrewing, he forced to open it, and well.. in the end he had to glue the plastic and there are 2 holes on the sides of the cartridge now...

Woah....ask your dad to stop breaking Pokemon games XD

Anyways, as for opening the flash card "gently" push on the contacts area until the plastic is lifted up at the front, then slide your nail around the edge of the card until the case is opened

this one for example, is not so bad (i thought youtube had better tutorials...)

the process is the same, you need to have skills or ask a electronic components shop to repair the cartridge, you can melt the catridge if you do it wrong, and if you use the soldering iron on the battery it can explode... (like my dad did on his second attempt...)

it makes me real sad he broke the cartridge, it still works but now it lost some value...
