Hacking When was the most recent email response from Team Gateway?

I have learned to take screenshots of emails from Team Gateway with a grain of salt, over the past week or so. I've emailed them twice since the 20th, and still haven't gotten any kind of response.

The last, most recent email response that I found was around February 18th, and I haven't been able to find anything any more recent than that.

Has anyone gotten any word at all directly from Team Gateway in the past week?

It's pretty pathetic that their customers have been better at troubleshooting and trying to resolve the bricking fiasco than they have been. If it weren't for the GBATemp community, gamesquest1 in particular, we would still be flying in the dark for almost five weeks straight.

Don't really know why I expected better from them.

Mhm. Last I heard from them was the 18th pertaining to my tracking information as well as an invitation to beta test if they did end up doing a beta. Other than that I haven't gotten a reply for last email I sent them.

I've gone a week without a reply though, so I wouldn't be too worked up about it.

They're technically ignoring all tech support related emails and only answering to the sales inquiry related posts. Emailing them repeatedly doesn't really achieve any results. The way I'm seeing it, emailing them too many times might put people on a blocked list and therefore blocking any inquiries.

heh another gateway v2 where is post oh well to be honest and when they release v2 we will keep asking for a newer update asap and demand and demand
i believe that they try to put locks prior release maybe not the bricking fiasco of consoles but code to brick clones,who knows hope they release untill end of month scene is not moving at all cause others do sit and wait for anything new to copy ,even homebrew is yet on infantry

Jesus, I wish Gateway never responded to any emails in the first place. Chaos always ensues because people keep asking when is it ever gonna get released. I wish they would just tease or anything like that for what's about to haplen, but not to flat out give a release date or window.

Devin's understandable. He's getting a replacement console from them. As for me, it's more akin to focusing on how to get reliable information out to the community.

in the event of a thing like this i am wondering if any of the clone programmers are in position to take the lead ,
i dont believe they will go now they want to take as money as possible and the best way to do that is to ensure cloners wont be able to copy ,for me their time is justified though they should have made an announcement of sort

Except that there isn't. The post that discusses the several topics regarding flash cards for the 3DS and how dangerous speculation is says nothing whatsoever about making topics in the forum asking if anyone has gotten any legitimate response from Team Gateway since the 18th of February.

I read it three times in a row to make sure I wasn't wrong. There is no such post on the front page. Try again.

They said 2 weeks a week ago, so it seems like it's coming March 1st or 2nd. Then again their first estimate was Christmas, then New Years, then this. Well there was "early days of 2013" which can mean anytime from January through March.

I know it doesn't say it directly. I guess it's just a matter of interpretation. I felt this line "it was decided that a joint thread dedicated to any and all information regarding the issue will now be stuck to the front page" especially the "any and all information part" should have included this topic. I also thought you were expecting an email response from Gateway regarding an update on the bricks or on the 2.0 firmware which I now realize is not the case. You just wanted to know if anyone got a valid response at all. An honest mistake considering all the useless threads that keep getting created about Gateway

I know how frustrated both the mods and the regular users are with the same kinds of topics, constantly. That's why I was only asking about something very, very specific, rather than adding more speculation and guesswork to this carnival.

At this point, I am starting to doubt that many, if any, people here on GBATemp actually got any kind of response or reply from them whatsoever.

So heres the thing, guys. That thread was created specifically to cease the creation of speculation. It didn't say so directly, but we felt at the time that we didn't need to add it when we drafted the topic. Clearly, we were wrong, and as such an addendum was added to the front page posting. We all know that the issue is extremely sensitive to you all, but adding fuel to this inferno isn't really helping us much, and we only want to give you guys the factual and accurate information.

Well, at least there's SOMETHING. From seeing your posting activity, F417H, I would tend to believe you over some of the emails I have seen.

They can get mad all they want. It would take their webmaster or admin a total of five minutes to just make a quick update to their site to placate the people who are starting to get impatient with their lack of communication.

They wouldn't have to answer a tenth of the emails that they have been receiving if they simply took the time to communicate ANYTHING publicly.

GBATemp is not a forum where one is only allowed to make posts that EVERYONE adores. That's the beauty of an open, public forum. You don't HAVE to click on my topics. The fact that you do, and are still complaining, is just amusing to me.
