Might as well put this here too:

I emailed the R4 guys earlier today asking if their 4.0 update would not be directly based on Gateway's 2.0 update, if they'll start doing their own work, and if the Blue Screen error would be fixed. This is the response I received:

We are working for a solution for blue screen issue at the moment....

Yes, the coming new firmware V4.0 will be developed totally by our own code, which is safe and come with itself menu system and new features...Thanks for your understanding anyway..

Let's hope this actually ends up being the case.

im stating the ovious :). I mean seriously every issue gateway is working on so is all the other 3ds cards. make fixes as gateway just a different firmware. so I don't know who holds the best deck of cards in this game but it looks like gateway. just saying. not disrespecting other card companies.

I managed to fix this using the method I have been promoting when users ask about what I wanted to do (the irony of me not following my own advice).

A proper back up of the emuNAND is possible to do with the "EmuNAND Tool"; no need to mess with hex files.

I just did the Format again with GW's launcher for the 32GB SD, then reinjected the emuNAND with the EmuNAND Tool and finally just pasted the regular files and now everything is working properly.

Yup. Zelda "A Link Between Worlds" won't work; it's not supported in 3.3b so you have to wait until R4i fixes his launcher.

Ohh and i thought it was something wrong from my part. Now i know, thanks

Unfortunately, the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. If the best indicator of future behavior is what came out of people's mouths, the World would be so much better off.

Anyone who still believes anything from R4i team is unbelievably gullible.

I have a bridge to sell you, Huntereb.

If you update your console like this and to this version can you still use the Gateway flashcard?

Hi all. I have a 3DS v7.1 and R4i gold deluxe, and I am currently trying to set it up following this tutorial: http://www.thegamerdepot.com/blog/b...e-r4i-gold-3ds-deluxe-card-for-the-3ds-xl3ds/ . But I'm stuck on step 5. Instead of seeing the "Konami Digital Entertainment" icon I see an icon called "Dorasu". When I click on that it brings me to a screen that says "An error has a occurred, hold your power button to turn the system off". I've been googling around but so far can't find any explanations. Anyone have any ideas?

Your 3DS must be between on 4.x firmware for these cards to work, yours isn't and unless you have a backed up nand from that device on 4.x you're out of luck.

The Deluxe isn't compatible with firmware over 4.5. Do some research before purchasing next time.

so if i downgrade to 2.01b till this mess is cleared up I should be fine? the code doesn't exist in anything less than 2.0b2 right?

I guess 2.0 release date either next Monday or Wednesday or those one week later.

I do not want to be rude but what makes you think that? Why not next Tuesday or Friday, or those one month later? What I mean is that we are clueless and the silence of the Gateway team is not helping. Some pleople bought the Gateway after the team promised the firmware for New Year's eve. Obviously, the delay allows the team to deliver a polished product but you need to understand the frustration of some buyers. The wait would be easier if Gateway was willing to be more transparent with their customers and explain to them what the hell is up with bricks/2.0 delays. Is it that hard to update their main page which was incredibly quiet since the beginning? I don't think so ^_^

Technically It's not New Year for them yet as Chinese New Year is the end of this Month. Confucious say "They are not lying to you, they're just not telling the truth."
