Of course these are only for the 3DS XL. It's like the regular 3DS doesn't exist anymore. So much for the early adopters.

(Oh and it looks like that Pikmin came in on a strawberry)

I think the only reason they haven't all gone is the price. For some reason they are a lot more expensive than the US/JAP Club Nintendo promotion ones, don't know why. I think the US ones were 500 stars?

its like i just got a 3DS xl and a couple of games and thats not even half the stars i need for that tiny bit of plastic which cost about 20 pounds on amazon. How many games do i need to have to be able to afford this jesus. Nintendo europe strikes again. xD

Keep in mind we get about five times more stars than the US gets coins for each game. I think we get 200-250 stars while they get something like 50 coins.

But i think they can do a lot more with their coins. So far i have 2800 stars and from what i can see they are all things i might expect to find for 50p in a bootsale :/

i think i'd rather pay 11€ for a normal black one on amazon
well actually I guess I'd rather not get one at all. induction charging is slow and wastes energy anyway, right?

also, european starshop is terrible. that mario soundtrack has been in there forever. best thing we ever got was the statue/mario kart trophies and wii snes controller. and one kirby game that didnt sell that good.

in addition to that (and stars disappearing after a year or so) everything is overpriced

Nintendo has a tendency to price everything wrong. Wii pretty good price, but the controllers for the wii plus NEEDED accessories too expensive. Same as the 3ds pretty good price, the charging cradle 20 pounds on amazon please for a piece of plastic. To have 4500 stars buying what 10 games gets me half of that I mean really unrealistc

It has nothing to do with induction, it charges the same way as it normally would. You just skip the plugging in since the cradle has springs in the contacts that physically connect to the 3DS contacts. So, all it does is offer an quicker and tidier way of charging your 3DS XL.

Overpriced controllers? You mean like every console ever?

35 pounds for a wii mote and 15 for the nunchuk and the wii is ment for more players so that adds up quite a bit plus batteries or a charging kit.
xbox360 controller 25 pounds which is much more acceptable
A 360 controller is about the same price as a wiimote here, and you don't need the nunchuk for most multiplayer games.
