GTA V: Story mode updates and online heists for 2014

The makers of Grand theft Auto V (GTA V) have said the game will receive "substantial" story mode updates in 2014.

On the Rockstar newswire, developers said they plan to continue the stories of the game's main characters Trevor, Michael and Franklin.

The post also included news of co-operative heists being introduced to the game's online mode.

Rockstar added: "Stay tuned for much more detail in the new year."

A separate post on the page includes details of another new addition to the GTA V online multiplayer mode.

The release of the death match and race creators beta will allow players to create their own races and competitive shooting arenas for other players to play, rate and share, via the Rockstar Games Social Club.

FYI - no sign of a PC release or dare i say WiiU .. .gulp

That's gonna cost a pretty penny probably, hopefully it's worth it. Ballad of gay Tony for GTA IV was brilliant and really worth its money, the Lost and Damned wasn't.

Been debating whether or not to trade my copy in towards Assassin's Creed Black Flag but if it's getting new content I suppose I could keep it around a while longer.

Hope they add some hints for the chiliad / UFO / jetpack mystery. Or actually patch in functional driveable UFOs and the jetpack if it's really not there.

It could be free and I still wouldn't bother. I uninstalled the game and don't think it'd even be worth the harddrive space it takes to put it back on for added content. I just really felt suckered buying into the hype. Biggest buyers remorse of 2013.

Great. And I sold my copy 2 weeks ago.

Yeah I traded mine in last month for Killzone Mercenary/Rayman Legends, I don't regret it. Doesn't mean I didn't like the game. I just felt the online was launched too early. The single player was fantastic and Trevor is perhaps my favorite character in a video game. But I would have preferred the game be delayed a little bit just so the online would have more content.

No i said best game of the decade GTA V not best game on the wii that many people didn't play because of the gimmicky wiimote controls.

the one thing i'll give GTV through is the person change thing in story mode. other wise that's it.

also the online CAC is the worst thing i have ever seen in a video game ever!!
