Do you have a screenshot of a gateway e-mail confirming this? I've sen them an e-mail to get some more clarification.

There isnt a definate timeline for the Final, constantly asking for confirmation they cant give is pointless, hence b2 coming out to at least put us back where we where before the 7.0 Update, that way they can focus on finishing features for the Final Version, There would be no point releasing a public beta, if they where just going to release the final version a couple of days later

These are excellent news to me :) I mostly care about using emuNAND on 7.0 and they even are fixing the saving glitches. I hope their "additional feature that will stop accidental updates" is actually something to maintain the emuNAND active after a "semi-power-cycle"; so we could still have it activated after exiting system settings and even better, this could give us the ability to perform system transfers.

Now with gateway and emunand 6.3.0.12 if I update, once beta 2 gets released, to emunand 7.0.0.13 will I be ok with the save of bravely default?

Or shall i stay to the old emunand till i finish the game? I do not want to lose the save.

Thanks in advance.

You can play Zelda Fine without the EmuNAND, just use the 2.0b1 launcher, if you mean retail, follow the guide on GW homepage or 1 of the many posted here

thank you I wanna play it with a retail (I'm a zelda fan but I don't want spend too much money for others :p

i have had no problems with saves i took my saves from my other 3ds and just copy them over to my xl and the gateway picked them up just fine

You will be fine, it really only effects retail carts and only if you want to interchange between a non GW system and a GW system

I hope their "additional feature that will stop accidental updates" is actually something to maintain the emuNAND active after a "semi-power-cycle"

that's not going to be the case:

Q: Will dropping out of EmuNAND System Settings always take you back to SystemNAND
A: For now yes, however we are looking into keeping EmuNAND active

I want to believe that was an answer regarding the current public launcher.

I was going to edit the post:

if they are still working on keeping emunand active when exiting the settings, I don't think they managed to do it for when the system gets powered off.
then maybe it's easier to do but, off the top of my head, I assume it's harder.

"semi-power-cycle"
I don't know how to call these process, but apparently the reset that occurs after exiting System Settings and going back to Home Menu differs from the actual "turn off and on" reset.

Some users say that the reason emuNAND 6.3 is not able to reproduce the KeyY saving method of the real 6.3 firmware is because it's something generated when the console is turned on; this means exiting System Settings is not the same thing as turning off and on the console and I think this applies to System Transfer as well.

Edit: To be even more clear, I wasn't talking about of the turning off/turning on process.

"semi-power-cycle" is a soft reset (reset by software, or by "reset" button on some consoles like SNES)
"turn off and on" is a hard reset (reset by hardware/power button/power cord).

Usually, consoles doing a soft reset are keeping some RAM informations (for example, on Snes, if you did a code to unlock a secret mode in Street fighter II or DBZ, reset only reboot the game but keep the code active)

QUICK UPDATE ON BETA FIRMWARE

17/12/2013
Firstly a warm thank you for all the feedback and suggestions regarding our recent public release of GW 2.0b1.
GW 2.0b2 is a few days away from release and will be mainly emunand support for 7.0 and bug fixes together with an additional feature that will hopefully put an end to any accidental updates of consoles.

I guess they are talking about the xmas release... So no Pokemon and multirom :/

From the message provided by a gw user, mutil-rom and pokemon x/y should be supported with this update.
However, from the declaration made by the gw offficial website, only emunand7.0 is supported with this update.

Are you disappointed with it?
Are you fooled by it?

haha:)

I guess the pokefans that didn't buy the game are disapointed. I don't care that much about multirom at the moment, actually what I most wanted was support for EmuNAND on 7.0, a fix for the save issues and (something that I hope will be included in the beta) the ability of softresetting the console without being kicked from emuNAND.
