Pokemon Bank/PokeTransporter will be released December 27th.

Pokemon Bank can transfer Pokemon between multiple copies (both physical and digital) of X and Y.
PokeTransporter comes with Pokemon Bank, and can transfer Pokemon from Black/Black2/White/White2 to the Bank for transfer to X/Y.

If downloaded and first activated before Feb. 1, there is a 30-day free trial, afterwards there will be a $4.99 annual fee. It can transfer every Pokemon in existence; however, there will be safeguards in place to block "hacked" Pokemon.

Here's the section of the official Pokemon X/Y website dedicated to Pokemon Bank and PokeTransporter:

Ok, thanks :)
Hacks as in Action Replay? Modded stats? What if I just used quick level code?
I believe "Hacks" as in Pokemon created by applications such as PokeGen and the like. As long as the Pokemon is captured by legal means (i.e. the game or Nintendo-sponsored events), it should be fine--Action Replay notwithstanding.

However, keep an eye out for later details as to the intended safeguards.

Like I said, it should be okay if the Pokemon is caught or obtained by "legal" means-that meaning either captured in the game or obtained from an Nintendo-sponsored event. Even if a AR is used, such as a wild encounter code, as long as it is captured/obtained by "legal" means and passes the checks, you're good to go.

well, we can't jet truly make a statement about how far nintendos checks reach. encounter code pokemon might just be indentified if they use any kind of databank checking for possible places of capture (you can't get route 1 legendaries for example). Egg pokemon that for some reason dont come in a normal Pokeball, they might even wipe clones (pokemon with identical values including IVs, trainer id, secret id, which would really suck for most owners of traded event pokemon), Pokemon that weren't breed but know egg attacks, pokemon that didn't come from I.E. Smaragd, but use Smaragd move tutor moves. etc etc.

We will only know how much margin of error they allow for pokegen'd pokemon once the apps are available. It might be just like last gens GTS checks, or they might use their cloud server power to go a bit deeper this time.

If that's the case, a lot of player that use pokegen to EV train pokemon are going to be VERY unhappy. If Pokemon decide to do a very through check to make sure the pokemon is a Legit one, then were just going to have to train the long and hard way. :P

Yeah,if they placed some hardcore checks on this,I'll probably be happy that I won't have to PokeGen.

But frankly, every check you mentioned can easily be edited, but I think the Pokegen must leave some traces,so maybe Nintendo figured this out.I mean, that's like shooting yourself in the foot to allow legitly hacked pokemone into a fresh unhackable(yet) game.

I wonder if they will track pokemon back from the gameshark from GBA games. Example: I was searching for level 100 Kingdra's long ago in the safari zone in leaf green and happened to find a shiny. It is my only "legit" (sort of) shiny. I didn't even know about shinies at the time, lol. I freaked out when a purple one showed up. Anyway, I wish I could make it a legitimate level and retrain it, but it's stats in pokemon black and white 2 don't look cheated. Another instance that I am concerned about is the legendary birds from platinum. You could find them roaming around, but my game became glitched where professor Oak was missing, so I just made them appear using the action replay at their legitimate levels and such. Now I try to keep everything as legitimate as possible. Thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

A more interesting question is, what about people with pokemon on flashcards? How will you be able to transfer?

Ok, what about AR code for making certain pkmn appear in random encounters like Arceus or Legendary Pkmn?

No No No, they won't pass the check if they're made appear somewhere they're not supposed to be.
I learned the restrictions of the checks and how to bypass them myself but try looking at youtube videos like this one

Is Pokémon bank going to be just an app on your 3DS that will be like the PC? I'm wondering if it'll be accessible without an internet connection. If it's not in the cloud then I'm all for it, but if I have to put all of my Pokémon in the cloud I'll rage >_<

Also it's probably going to be like PalPark where you can only import from legit copies and not flash cards, correct?
