So, I updated my Wii to 4.3U as per some direction I received from some users. Link
: http://gbatemp.net/threads/upgrading-an-already-modded-wii.354169/#post-4766407 :
The problem now is that my EmuNAND channels will no longer load. Depending on the IOS Used they either reset USBloaderGX or they go simply to a blank black screen. FYI, This all worked just fine before the update and all other functions do seem to be working just fine, I can play Wii and GameCube and even Triforce works. Is there some special IOS that is needed by USBloaderGX to load EmuNAND channels that may have been deleted or overwritten by my update? Also, I do have these all on a FAT32 USB 300GB Maxtor with all my other games. I am as of now just getting a bit frustrated at this and I know I must be missing something.

Thanks to anyone in advance for any help you can provide.:yaywii:

sounds like ios 249/250 were overwritten

try using wiimod to remove stubs and install a d2x 249/250

edit: i think i seen your thread and i remember cringing due to the recommendations! updating is not needed, just update the IOS files.

Heh, I realize how dumb I was probably being but I would have wanted to update even if it was unnecessary because I am just that way. :) WiiMOD? WiiMOD is awesome... Thanks for the heads up. mod manager wont see my USB HDD at all so I have to use the sd card and that is less convenient, not to mention all the nice features it has, so thanks for turning me on to the app as it is very nice. I got it fixed, finally. I am not entirely sure WHAT actually fixed it though. I tried to update all the IOSs and it didn't update anything and said they were already current. I installed an IOS 36 with all the patches, why? I don't know! I just see more stuff online about IOS 36 leading to many other issues so I figure why not? Then I went to install the latest D2X V10 Beta and this is where I REALLY don't know but I think may have done the actual trick. I am not 4.3 and I guess that system menu uses IOS 80, right? SO this time I installed it using ios 80 as a base. I don't know what the "base" IOS actually means but I did all this and one of these things did the trick. Even though it is working fine now I am curious what you may think did the trick. And thank you very much indeed for the assist. I would have pulled what little hair I have left out and taken quite some time longer to fix it if it weren't for your recommendations.:D

wiimod runs on ios 58 no patches needed. it can install wads without a cios.

patching ios 36 isn't really necessary any more, ios 58 ahbprot takes care of that. it basically gives full hardware access. its ok that you did it, but doesn't affect anything

you did fix it by installing d2x v10. when you update through nintendo they install blank files in the ios 249 slot (among others as well) and this is the slot that usb loader gx is using. if usb loader gx finds a blank file in that slot, its screwed, it won't launch. wiimod will remove the blank file, and install the file you want (meaning d2x)

the base ios is the ios file the d2x is using as the source, then modifying it. base 56 has great compatibility, base 57 is needed for some problematic games (like rock band, call of duty). you should at least install d2x v10 249 base 56 and 250 base 57. i also recommend hermes 222/223/224 although i almost never use them anymore.

if you take a syscheck (another very handy app) and post it here, im sure me or someone else will be happy to take a look and judge it for you.

Ya, I thought that 36 wasn't needed anymore but I did it anyways just to be "SAFE". I will make a SYScheck and post it in a few days just for kicks and to see if there are any glaring issues. I have Hermes installed and it seems to be faster on launch but not much else different regarding the games i play most often. I just wanted to thank you again for the insight into what the hell I did to my Wii. I wonder what using a base 80 does that is different from what I did before but I will do a base 57/56 install as well. Question, does the BASE mean the installer actually uses the original calls and whatnot from that IOS for the cIOS using that base? The mechanics are the only thing I was a smidgen unclear on, am I understanding this correctly?

Again thank you my friend, it is wholly appreciated

well first off i see you have ios 249 base 80, change that to base 56 v10beta53-alt. base 80 is really obsolete now. and you have ios 250 base 58, change that to base 57 v10beta53-alt.

this is my opinion but it is the general agreement as well.

and yes its based on the original ios (same calls and functions just with customized stuff patched in).
