Last night I was playing arond with the Latest versions of RetroArch

Alot of my ROM's are crashing still Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man

Including CSP Games like Street Fighter CE but I could run the Rainbow Hack..odd..Hyper Fighting Crashes too

I have to test more later

Anyone know how to properly configure the Mednafen PSX core. The games are cue/bin, the BIOS (scph1001.bin) is in the system directory, and yet, no matter what I choose, the games will not load. The RetroArch window will close, like it's about the load a game then it returns to the menu. Why? Again, I made sure everything is in the right place/folders, but to no avail :(

No idea big guy, haven't really tried out Mednafen PSX, after the terrible news that PSX re-ARMed won't be coming to RA-Wii.. I just said f**k 5th gen emulation on Wii lol.

Unless of course Wii64 2.0 ever drops.. which might not happen but eh... I'll be around in a few years we'll see.

Well, just thought I'd asked. Why isn't it coming to RA?
Pretty much it would be a nightmare of total recoding and a shiteload of work probably no one wants to take on.. who knows if the Wii could even handle it, I sure don't but devs seem pretty convinced it's not worth their time and effort, I can't blame em.

If anything I hope they can figure out the control/remote bug issue that's been bothering users/devs so we see 0.9.9.6 drop on the Wii.

I only asked because I've heard a lot of good things about Mednafen PSX on the PC, mostly because I like to have alternate choices aside from ePSXe. I hope someone can figure out why cue/bin games aren't loading.

Using the wrong BIOS. Turns out Mednafen is picky about BIOS and the scph5500, 5501, and 5502 work best with it. You also need bin+cue and you must load the game by selecting the cue file. I'd post a link to my source, but I can't paste with the device I'm using ATM.

Hope you get it figured out. ;) Worked for me on Retroarch Android.

It's fine, I finally figured it out, do you think it will ever support save states?

It doesn't support them? I don't know to be honest. Medanafen PSX requires a lot more horsepower to run, so I use PCSX reARMED. Probably be best to ask Squarepusher or someone else. I can't wait for the N64 Core to be released on Android/IOS. N64oid, while it has good performance, is payware and hasn't been updated in forever. Mupen64 plus AE is also sort of lackluster. Retroarch owned FPSE and ePSXe when it got the PCSX REARMED core. I'm sure it'll be no different with their N64 core. The fact they're waiting for it to be polished tells you something right there. ;)
