3ds xl has bigger screens. also the dsi gets updates that block flashcards as well.

The DSi no longer gets any updates, they stopped at 1.4.5.

Added support for the StreetPass relay feature

Now that's nice, although I was kinda hoping for more (I guess Miiverse 3DS won't happen for some time).
To all the whiners: stop crying. The DSTwo will get an update sooner than later and tbh, who cares about those other failcards that don't even survive a small update... While I agree with you I don't want to throw $40 at a company for features I don't need or want just for regular compatibility updates, and before someone tells me to get a DS Lite, I already have one. I have limited space on my person to carry things around and when space is at a premium I feel stupid doubling up on handhelds.

I wish there was a mid-grade card that can receive regular updates and doesn't cost the same as a retail 3DS game just to play DS games I already own without hauling a bunch of carts with me.

Indeed! That's the one I went for. I hope the team behind it have a way of updating it after asking users to cut a trace on the board itself, Though I imagine it can be re-flashed by using some pencil graphite to fill in the connection.

Nintendo doesn't like FlashCarts. Poor Gateway it will never get out of FW 4.5. Those with it will miss all the new upcoming features and things.

40 dollars is rather expensive for something you know will break and become useless very soon. We're not all in the situation where 40 bucks are chump change and we dont all have parents who hand out 50's like they're 5's.

Finally, I thought this feature was already added, I event went to a Best Buy and was standing in the store for about 30 minutes trying to find the damn thing.
I live near a few AT&T hotspots so I will definitely pass by them tomorrow evening.
