Hacking Backing up AC:NL (retail) save with SMS4

I'm using the SMS4 backup master v1.26, and tried to load my New Leaf game into it, but it couldn't recognize it, my other games it could fine. Is there anyway around this?

The game tags your save data so you can't load an older version of the save. Your SOL on this game.

That means you can't cheat or have more than 1 town per cart or whatever it was.

If the 3DS gets hacked though it's likely someone will figure out how to manipulate the "tag" to allow save editing.

That is a big if atm that relys on another big if, as a CFW is not happening any time soon.

has anyone tried paring a cart backup with a SD backup? or is the tag save data stored in nand?

idk if you want backup for cheat, anyway now you can dupe item ingame ... not only with Jap version 1.0

Some people have terrible luck when it comes to save data being safe.
