Hacking R4i SDHC Dual Core Update?

Does anyone know when the update will get released for 3DS update v6.0.0?
seeing that Gold got the update today.

I heard some rumours about it, several shops are saying it will come. There is nothing on their site, though.

I was told they are working on it but seeing as r4i gold had to elaborate and now in order to update you have to open the card and so on...
An update for clone cards seems sort of impossible /;

FYI, the download site is in chinese, just click the icon with the arrow pointing down, download, put the file in your sd card, then run the .nds file on an available DS or DS Lite. Follow the instructions then you're all set.

If your 3DS doesn't want to boot the card, try replacing the "_ds_menu.dat" in the root of your SD card with this one:

Mine worked without replacing the kernel files, and this was a BRICKED card. It finally worked after the firmware update

THIS IS NON OFFICIAL FIRMWARE

it will update your firmware to version 5.07
(official is only 5.02)

if the team make the next update and make it version 5.03
you will not be able to apply it
also say there is another update for the next nintendo firmware
and the team call it 5.04 again you will not be able to apply it

you may be dependent of a Custom firmware if you use this

please use at own risk

Nope, they may look the same, but when you open them up, their internals are different

Thanks for the heads up pong, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I almost threw away my bricked 2013 card out of frustration since me and a bunch of other members have been begging for a fix over at the R4iSDHC english forums for months. And all we got was nothing (not to mention that the english forum is gone now). Official or not, as long as it UNBRICKS bricked 2013 cards, it's all good to me

Yup, I agree, people should know the risks of using unofficial firmware, plus it will also void the card's warranty

My card just says SDHC on the inside but has nothing else printed on it, not even a date. Also says dual core smart update and new on the front. The casing is white but the label is silver. Does it have a chance now?

Unfortunately, still no

The update was made for the "2013" version of the card, the latest hardware version. The one you have is the older hardware version. You can still try though, but do so at your own risk since it might actually BRICK your card.
