I enjoy that public works projects are set up as donations, but I don't like that they're clearly meant to act as another level of cooperation when really, how are you going to get other players to contribute without saying "hey, can you just hand me some bells?". The villagers obviously aren't going to help because they're CPU's. The bastards don't have a bell to give for anything that you don't tell them to give bells for, and they definitely didn't give a way for you to coax villagers into donating. I guess there is an automatic daily donation, but I'm doubting that it's substantial.

On the other hand, if/when any of you come to my town, if you see a donation gyroid out, feel free to toss in 10k or so if you have it to spare. I'd say I'd do the same for you all, but since most of the people I tend to play with seem to time travel and have a much grander fortune than myself even on a bad day, it doesn't seem like I'll ever see a donation gyroid around and about anyways.

With that said, woo. Set up a project for my second bridge, and I've already put about 60k of the 128k bells into it. Hopefully the villager donation is calculated to be a percentage of your total daily donation to make large contributions worthwhile.

Dat feel when u make 1 million in 1 hour. XD
What are you even doing to make that much? Provided you caught one shark a minute and that it happened to be a saw shark worth 12k bells, you would still have to catch nearly 100 of them in order to generate that much income.

I rape the island with bugs, sharks and such. Making bells in Animal crossing has always been my specialty. But with the island, it's a whole new of easyness.

Shit, even with the island, 1 million bells in an hour is pretty damned impressive, especially considering the box only holds so much before you have to make a trip back selling things in two to three round trips from the docks to Re-Tail. Considering the average island bug will only go for around 3k, and on average you can catch about five or six sharks in 10 minutes, it would still be next to impossible to generate 1 million bells in the space of a single hour accounting for travel time.

If u actually do this during daytime then yeah it is impossible. On night time though... ;)A whole new difference. I can literaly pay anything the game throws at me.
The average bug is worth 6k. There are literally more rare bugs and fish combined to catch, than the common worthless ones.

Yeah, I just get nothing but those tree beetles (and a shark if I happen to see one) and I make sweet sweet bells.

edit: 7PM is the time to start. only two new beetles show up after 11.
