Jesus, we've gone from butt blasted to sphincter smashed to anal annihilated in no time. It's a new record, I think.

(Just a tip: "lol you have no lives!" is literally the weakest, most obvious retreat there is. Besides, it's a bit ironic here - you say we don't have lives, but you're the one getting fecal frustrated over forum posts on the internet. Just saying.)

I thought the same thing as I watched the video myself.
Maybe it will have the original levels as well?
Iwata did say it was a new game.
I would love to be able to play the older levels along with all the new ones.
I am defiantly confused at this point

It definately looks like the original, has nintendo said anything about whether it's a remake or a sequel?

It's probably just showing "homage" to the past game with the first level and then going to completely new levels.

Yes, watch the 3DS trailer from the eShop to see more. The new Zelda title doesn't even have an English name yet. Everything including story, mechanics, areas will be new, the only thing that this title shares with LttP is the world. Yoshi's Island is a new game too, Iwata even says it's the third installment in the video, just look at the giant egg throwing bit at the end.

Yoshi's island doesn't look like a sequel to me, I watched the nintendo direct and it showed all previous games so far, (apart from the minor difference ds, 3ds e.t.c they all look the same too me). But whatever that is why nintendo make so much money with little effort, they don't need to make anything original anymore because everyone just laps it up which is a shame really.

There are a few members here (mentioning no names) that seem to love bullying, put them on the ignore list and you won't have to put up with it anymore, you have every right to state a opinion don't let anyone put you down for that.

I'm on the defensive, yet you're the one relying entirely on insults/insinuations and playing the bullying card (Because calling someone out for their poorly thought out posts is bullying now?)? Also, if I was a bully, shouldn't I be the one on the offensive.

This was my complaint with the DS version. They half-assed the style.

Also the physics were worse, but that's just how modern games play.

I think it's just a throwback level remake ala NSMB2 dlc style. Saying it's the 3rd installment would be straight out lying if it's a remake. Why would they do a remake when ambassador 3DS's have the title already?

I'm just going to mention the Wii disc version of Super Mario All-Stars that was an SNES version of some NES games, already on the virtual console, being released on the same system as New Super Mario Bros Wii.

And that's why we should come to expect EVERYTHIIIIING. =D

I haven't played a yoshi games too often but I must say I'm disappointed by the art style. I love the 2D super artsy style but all this 3D stuff is kinda killing the vibe...

That All-Stars thing was literally slapping the SNES Roms on a disk. The games themselves wasn't the main appeal behind the set though as the other extras were what made it worth purchasing. This however is using new assets and everything, seeing as it's a somewhat recent game with the GBA port plus that it haven't suffered from aging graphically there is no reason to remake it. Nintendo has only done remakes of titles that really needed it like OoT, other games have always been straight up ports, like in the case of Allstars or DKCR. Again, he did say third installment in the series which implies that it's completely new.
