I just purchased a supercard dstwo from realhotstuff.com and have been running into a few probs with it.

It seems that whenever i quit the eos and go back to home screen my machine will not run the supercard again. I get the "error has occurred...reset etc" message, the machine does not see the cart but usually taking the cart completely out and reinserting it fixes it. Strange eh?

Is this problem common? Did I do something wrong with the cart setup?? The cart itself does seem a little loose somewhat and seems to separate slightly under the sticker. Again is this common with these carts?

This is my first foray into ds hacking and i followed the tutorials on gbatemp to a T.

Any help suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks so much in advance.

The facts:-

- 3DSXL running 4.5.0-10U
- Supercard is running 1.19
- EOS 1.11 with a patch

The build quality on the DSTWO is abysmal, and seems to have gotten even worse with the last batch or two. There's probably some sort of intermittent contact issue going on with yours.

Mine does this, but only once in a blue moon.

Question: The SD card you are using with it, were you using it before you bought the Super Two? What brand SD do you have?

Try backing up all your data, reformat the SD card using HP's USB Disk Storage Format Tool.
Repopulate the card, unmount it from your computer before you pull it out. Stick it back in your Super Two and give it another try.

Could you be more specific?

It happens an average of one time out of three-four.
Sometime it happens on the first run, sometimes after going back to home screen.

I have to take off the card to fix it. This is sad, because it never happened with my dead metroid r4i gold...

So I bought a brand new Sandisk 16gb SDHC card seeing as i was using a 3 year old 2gb sandisk card from my old blackberry. I formatted the card and loaded the EOS and games onto it. sadly I still get the same issues.

This is all a very disappointing experience so far with the dstwo card. From what I had read on the card before purchase I had high expectations.

Hopefully its a software issue and will be fixed with a fw update?

This.

It's a shame, because a DSTwo costs a LOT here in my country, but yeah, there are tons of people reporting the same problem, and there is no official answer so we dont know if its software or hardware. (More likely hardware)

i have heard of this ,im not sure if it sis a contact issue or not, but try using a piece of cardboard like a matchbook cover between the dstwo and the cart slot ,if it is a contact issue that should fix it
i had some contact issues with my dstwo in my dslite when i 1st got it ,but seems to have cleared up maybe its broken in now or maybe it just workd better in the 3ds ,seems like i never had contact issue with it in my 3ds ,just the lite

Have fun not buying much of anything, let alone flashcarts.

already bought a DSTwo. I just find it kind of sad how these guys are considered the best, but their chips were put together by some low quality manufacturing company in China.

They're considered the "best" in that their card, when it works, has more features than the average card, like GBA emu and ability to flash even if you accidentally update your 3DS first, due to the built in processor, NOT because they have quality workmanship and materials going into these things.

Mine works, fortunate for me, but still, the thing just feels cheap, and a small chunk of plastic actually broke off of the corner of the case once just taking it out of the 3DS. It's a real shame, but when it takes years for legit international companies like Microsoft to finally get their consoles to stop self destructing, it's not too surprising that a (relatively) tiny flashcart company in China is gonna have issues.

All the flash carts are from China.

EDIT: As in, they're designed, built, and run by people IN China. It's not a US company using China to make these, these are 100% Chinese goods.
