Yah I tried naming them something else, and they still refuse to turn off. The reason it's hard to do this is because I don't have my own computer, so when I go home moving stuff around on my SD becomes hard.
Yep, WiiXplorer FTW. You can cut, copy, paste among many other things but basically that's all you're going to need from it. I don't use AR codes or cheats myself so I can't really help u there.

Is there away to use the "invisable" launcher ( or how ever you'd like to call it.). with out it putting the neek2o looking channel?
i used any title deleter to get rid of some crap i still had, from making channels when i made the neek2o channel. An deleted the wiiflow channel. now instead of launching strait to wiiflow. it starts at homebrew. i use the plain usb launcher channel.( the one from modmii) if i launch from main menu.

If you're talking about the PriiLoader forwarder, yes but you'll need to use the old one that boots WiiFlow directly and it won't have AHBPROT patched so it can't pass that along to any homebrew, plugins, or Devolution that need it. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work with 2.5TB+ hard drives either.
I think this is it.

First stages of adding wiiflow.ini to wiiflowiki 4

https://sites.google.com/site/wiiflowiki4/wiiflow-ini

got a long way to go.
I have a file with many of the settings described and with options available. Such as yes, no, integer, true/false. I remember doing it back when I was working with another temp member to make an external wiiflow.ini app editor. Hopefully I can still find it lol, I'll send it to you when I get off work. I'm hoping it will save u some time ;)

Thank you. that's good to know. (glad i don't use devo or have a monster harddrive.) but sucks cause of plug in issues.(glad i don't use the butt ton that is now usable mplayer is the only one for me.) oh well i guess i just move it to the back with the rest of the useless junk. would be nice if one was made.

Hi guys, can anyone knowledgeable check this link out from the SVN and tell me if this is the latest default.ini? I'm trying to isolate a cover cache loading issue.

@fledge68 PM'd.
r511 on the file and that looks like it's the most recent one.

Not sure what should be in there but that is the one that is built on a compile.

After much playing around i figured out what the problem is with cover caching. With cover buffer set to default (20), the problem boils down to one simple thing.. THEMES.

With the default theme and no default.ini, the cover cache loading problem is nearly non existent, as soon as the default.ini is present WiiFlow can barely cache 10-15 covers at least for me. The good news is though that some themes don't have a problem.

I haven't been able to test all the themes yet, but here are the following results for cover caching per theme.

8-Bit Playground-m=Good Cover Caching
Andro!d=Good Cover Caching
BlackWii=Dumps with r884, no longer works w/latest WF
Carbonik-Abz=Good Cover Caching
Carbonik-M=Good cover caching
Default w/ini=Bad cover caching
Default no .ini=Good Cover Caching
Multiflow=Bad Cover Caching
Starnight=Good Cover Caching

EDIT: Need to test:
Blue Carbon, Luigi's Mansion, Violet-m, Carbonik colors(red,purple, etc.), WhiteWii, Greennv, DarkUmbra, Orchid-m and Subspace. If there are any themes I missed anyone is aware of please let me know. I'll be back with more results tonight or tomorrow.

I've only tested caching emu covers not Wii covers and really the only real problem here is the DEFAULT.INI NOT WORKING TO CACHE COVERS. Why is it that other themes such as fledge68's and Abz cache with no issues? WiiFlow should work right out of the box w/o any themes necessary. Hope this helps.

I tried the C64-network plugin and my games are working, but of course like on the original emulator, I have to change some settings inside it to make 'em work (like turning on/off True 1541 emulation, changing joystick port, key bindings). Because many games do require different settings, once you load them from Wiiflow you'll always have to change those settings, reset the emulator and launch the game again from within the C64-Network interface. This goes a bit against the main purpose of Wiiflow.
So an idea came to my mind, but being not a coder I don't know if it's feasible and how:
is there a way to compile the C64-network plugin to make it launch savestates instead of disk/tape images?
I'll explain why: once you adjust the settings for a particular game to work, you could load it, wait until the title screen appears and then save the state.
The advantages of working with save states would be that you'd have to adjust those settings only once per game, use custom settings for each game and no more long loading times (at least to go to the title screen).
There would be one con, though:
- C64-Network only supports one save state for each game (and knowing how hard old games are it would be a big issue).
Maybe if it would be possible to put the "game-booting save states" in another folder and set a path for them in an ini file this issue could be solved.

What do you think of this idea?

^^ Damn, that's a pretty good idea!! I'm not. A big fan of commodore-64, and tbh I don't even use it. I do hear it has long load times though and the per game settings is a pain the ass. I think your idea is totally viable, however whether it can be coded or not is completely up to the devs cuz I don't know jack either when it comes to that lol.

the C64 plugin is the same as rev 943 http://code.google.com/p/frodo-wii/source/list
so everything supported by the original dol is possible with the plugin dol
you can compile 944 and it will work as a plugin right away.
Not sure if save states can be launched directly via arguments with the emulator but should probably work fine.
If it works all you need to do is edit the frodo ini in plugin folders to add the save states extension and remove the prg and tape extensions if you like.
Edit: Also you need to change the path in the frodo plugin ini too

Have a nice day

Is there any wiiflow.ini command to stop the menu music title from displaying on the top of the screen every time it loops?

I hoped in your responses. For an old c64 nostalgic like me this is great news!
I don't know what arguments are and how do they work. Do I need to modify just the frodo.ini to see if it works or do I need to do something with those arguments too?
Can I try this with your plugin version 943 too or do I need 944?

Thanks Thanks Thanks!!!:bow:

No there isnt, but it would be quite intelligent to add that by default so we dont just get the same title displayed over and over again for people with just one song, may the next rev will have this

Just downloaded the latest beta revision, boy that was quick. Thank you very much for that.

Tried to set frodo.ini with savestates instead of images (as suggested by AbdallahTerro) but it doesn't work: I can see the saves in the games list, but trying to launch them frodo automatically invokes loading sequence (load "*",8,1) treating them as normal images, so they won't load. Is there a way to set frodo to load saves after boot instead of disk images? Should I do something with arguments?

6 more themes left to test w/cover caching and the results have been pretty good thus far. I'm thinking if the default.ini is replaced with any other .ini from the themes that work with cover caching, all should be well. Or I can try to isolate which views might be causing the problem, but that would take me several days since I get short bursts of time with the Wii lol.

@shortz1994 is droidflow v2 an updated version of Andro!d? Either way it seems I missed installing this to my setup a while back. I'll be checking it out soon, but I wanted to know in case I should just ditch Andro!d for droidflow v2. TIA.

Also found another theme or two. I'll see if they work with the latest revs or not.
