Hi. I registered in this forum just to thank you for translating this game. I'm really happy that someone makes it possible for people like me who owns a PSP but doesn't speak Japanese to play some of the wonderful games that are not released on the ocident. I really apreciate your work and will play the game when the patch is out.

I finished school long ago, don't worry about that.

Translating anything from Japanese to English is part of my job and also belongs to my university works. I do set priorities, but anyone who knows me knows how much I loved Digimon World 1 (After all I'm the guy who went for the PAL Bug and the Jukebox Fix.xD) and so this will be finished.

xD Yeah I saw on your blog your work looks good that is why I wanted to work with you I got excited to learn something, I'm just glad everyone back full force.

What he meant was that you could have merged all your replies into a single post and doing otherwise is regarded as multiposting as well. And to be fair, if you do not appear to be fluent in a certain language, you pretty much lose credibility especially because this is a translation project which ... well... requires a good grasp in that language. Kinda like how there are certain codes of conduct when attending an interview etc. Just sayin'

Well my bad I reported those post to the mods if they didn't delete those two it must have been ok. I'm still learning the site to be honest, and I'm fluent in English it's my first language but I get what your saying.

I congratulate you on the work you are doing and encourage you to continue.
I wonder if you've thought about trying romhack tools of this Digimon Adventure Digimon with the new, may have the same format.

Bless,
tchusami.

P.D. Sorry for my poor English.

digimon adventure now release
and still the patch for digitize still not complete

Digimon fans must be by far the ones with the most unrealistic expectations.
There are Snes games that took 10 YEARS to translate.

And PSP games are by far harder. For the record, we have some people from our team back, but we must take into account that everyone has a life and it is not our only job to please you guys with translations.

Only because you can use Google Translate it doesn't make you a translator.
Only because you can use a Hexeditor it doesn't make you a hacker.
Only because you can write a program in Delphi, it doesn't make you understand ASM.

People, stop thinking this is easy, it is by far not.
We have no Tools for properly disassembling nor debugging, and not every insert of new text is succesful, and we have to rebuilt a lot.

Hackers of NES, SNES and other systems are provided with very powerful tools, and those consoles and have been around forever, while the PSP, in terms of
Romhacking is still relatively new. Keep that in mind.

Even if this won't be done by next year we are STILL pretty FAST.

Since people keep asking me for a Release Date: 20.9.2099 20:09:29:299ms

Sorry we are not as competent as you. How many complete translations for the PSP have you done? Wait, come again? Didn't hear an answer.

tl;dr Unless you've completed translating the same game before this team does, you have no right to give them shit. Period.

I have a question, and it may sound VERY VERY stupid (very high chances of getting an obvious "NO, OF COURSE NOT" as an answer but gotta make it anyways xD). It's not about this game, but the new digimon game (but as it has to do with "translation" I put it here). The thing is that, as you said, it is very difficult for any game for translate text because a lot of reasons, but as the new digimon game is directly based on the anime, is it possible that instead of making a text translation, to replace the japanese voices with the voices from the anime in another language (like english) ?. I'm asking this because there is a Dragon Ball fan project in another website which consists of a replacement of the DB Budokai Tenkaichi 3 voices with the ones in latinoamerican spanish and it's 95% finished (I just mentioned this project so that you know this kind of thing has been done before). That project took him a very long time (like 2 years), but it was just 1 person (who knows how much faster it would have been if he had a team instead).

So, if someone could make it possible for a PS2 game, MAYBE it can be possible with another ones. IF this is the case with this game (digimon adventure), would it be faster to make that kind of audio translation instead of a text one??

^The problem with that is you need the voices already preferably from a localised one. While the game is based on the anime, it's not a 1:1 copy so there will be issues with timing which I believe will be more effort than it's worth. Just my $0.02.

I've seen gameplay videos, and the characters just move their mouth in random order while the text appears and the voice sounds. IF the game is programmed so that a specific part of text is attached to a voice, and then the players presses a button so that the next text+voice shows, I don't think there would be sync issues. Of course, it's just a theory :P . Maybe the audio doesn't correspond 100% with what the japanese text is saying, but as long as it's the same context I suppose it would be alright. If I knew more about this kind of stuff (and japanese :P) I would give it a try

i phoned up all the current gen of gods, they said no can do, would seem too much of a miracle to be something like that available at this time
there's ppsspp who's in a good way.

For SuperSZ, the AT3+ format is still isn't reversed and yeah it'll be just too much trouble...
But about Digimon Adventure, it is true that there's lots of non-text dialog, only voice... that means you'll have to wait for a good debugger as I said...
for a full translation. that is. (oh oh maybe I just spoiled something :o)

PLEASE READ:
As much as support is appreciated, from the fans we ask only for that and patience.
We got this, we know how to do it right, and our skilful programmers will hopefully provide us with tools for the images and then we can get this done.
This is going to be a 100% translation
