So I started out with an acekard 2i, loved it.

Then I decided to get a DsTwo for Gba, Nes and Snes. It all just seems to run faster on my dstwo. As you can see in the OP that you can't run gba games on all of the flash adds without an expansion pack, excluding the dstwo. I only use my dstwo for anything except ds games. All I use my acekard for is Gbc and all of the ds games I have.

Love both, gave my friend my r4i gold 3ds, he likes that too.

Are you looking to get an r4? I recommend an acekard 2i over and r4 IMHO.. Except the acekard team has been slacking on their updates. So if your gonna be on a 3ds I would look into a dstwo. You don't need a slot 2 for gba. Nes and Snes run much more smoothly on a dstwo. If its price you're worried about, go with the r4.

From my experience the dstwo team has been very up-to-date with their updates. Like I said, if you're taking the acekard route, they have been slacking, so idk if we'll be getting any updates anytime soon. Of course they take awhile, due to the update, may be a minor fix or an entire week or so until the update is up for download. If I were you I'd go with a dstwo.

Really the only thing different IMO, is the name of the firmware lol. The r4 is beta testing real time saving, if not please correct me but that's what I've heard.

If you have a dsi. Get an r4. Acekard doesn't work on a dsi

The supercard team usually gets an update out within 24 hours to match a DSi/3DS update. I think it took three days once at the worst.

The R4i Gold and Ak2i have a similar feature set, they were generally seen as direct competitors (until the Ak2i's firmware updates died). Both play DS games fine.

Do note that the Ak2i doesn't have any DSi compatibility past 1.4.4, or 3DS compatibility past 4.3.x.

they have been slacking, so idk if we'll be getting any updates anytime soon.

The Ak2i ran out of internal space, newer updates won't fit. Don't count on anything more unless they release a new hardware model (which would be pretty nice).
