Well, here's my guess. It has to do with fulfillment in your life. Maybe the hearts symbolize three parts of your life that you consider valuable. Two of them, you feel you have placed your best effort in, but the last you consider your efforts to be half-hearted. The tattoo is a reminder of the things which you have accomplished, but also a reminder of the work you still have yet to do. Kind of pulling that out of nowhere, but hey, that's why it's called a guess.
