Famitsu has unvieled 5 more characters that are in Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus

Hiyabi (21), She's from a previous generation of Hebi ninja and has amnesia and lost her abilities from an accident during a mission.

Imu (21), like Hiyabi she was in the same accident and also was hospitalized due to it, both Hiyabi and Imu seek to have their memories and abilities restored.

Murasaki (16), a student who often skips school

Ryoubi and Ryouna (16) Twin sisters, Ryoubi uses a rifle as a choice of weapon and Ryouna dons angel cosplay.

Lets home Funimation licenses it because people in the US want something related to this franchise localized and the anime being licensed will increase the odds the games will be localized as well.

I'm not sure if the anime will be as heavy on the fanservice as the games (it probably will though) but if it is the chances of it being localized are pretty much less than zero. Remember how Dead or Alive Dimensions got banned in some Scandinavian country (iirc) for having a 16-year old girl in suggestive clothing? This is about 20 times worse, so yeah. I mean, the "deluxe edition" or whatever it is called comes with softporn images.

The games, you have a point, but the anime there is a high chance, Funimation did licence Strike Witches and Sekirei and then you have Sentai licensing Samurai Girls and even then about the games you could juat leave out the softcore bonuses save for the Drama/Soundtrack CDs, and keep the figures.

I would really love to play this on my PSV but the chances of it getting thru customs is really really low.
Unless I go to Japan and buy one myself, because airport security is another story.

Yea delaying video games is going too far, seriously this is why I don't see the point of censorship since it restricts what the people can and can't have also then forcing the people to think and act in a certain way.

The point of censorship is to prevent disgusting and immoral material from being produced. You may say "Well morality is relative" but there's stuff, regardless of views, that should not be made. For this game in particular, you could peg its "censorship" on child pornography, objectification of women, and just being a general anime sploogefest. Take your pick.

As for the game, looks pretty dumb as expected.

Well I'll be honest. While Senran Kagura as a whole contains a bit more ecchi than I would have liked, it actually seems pretty decent gamewise imho. But to each his own.

*sigh* Not like this will make it out of Japan anyways. Both 3DS ones didn't make it (though iirc there was interest to). So chances are slim at best. Oh well. At least there is the anime next year.

Well unless there is no actual gameplay like that DoA vollyball game or whatever its called then its a problem but if it does have legit gameplay then I see no problem. What about those Super Robot Taisen games they got fanservice but it actually has good normal RPG gameplay.

The problem here is, the gameplay isn't there to suit the story, or captivate the player, or anything like that. The gameplay here is an excuse, a pretense to get to the wanking material. It's porn without the balls to straight up admit it's porn. The game tries to straddle the line, and is all the worse for it.

If you want porn, fine, whatever, that's on you. Just don't kid yourself and present this is as a legitimate gaming experience.
