Hardware Haven't preordered the WiiU yet? Preorder at Walmart

There's another preorder opportunity for those of us that still haven't preordered the Wii U and didn't get to. You have to do it in person in the layaway section and you better hurry because there's only a limited number of Wii U's left . I already got mine like this. Sweet! Sorry if it was already posted. Searched but found nothing and wanted to try to help everyone out. Started October 14 and ends November 1st or until they run out.

I'm glad they're doing this. I luckily got one of the last online preorders in at Wal-Mart, but this ought to help the people who were too late.

Can confirm that the 4 Walmarts that are close enough to me that I would care to drive too are all sold out as well.

Meh, I planned on just buying the Wii U at Sears on day 1 of release, they usually always get consoles on first day. Got my 3DS and DSi there.

Did walmart tell you what day you would receive your Wii U? On the website it says you will recieve before the end of the year, no where at the website does it say you will recieve on release day.

Yep sounds like the wii.
But this time i preordered mines the first day they said. Then they sold out that night lol.
And the wii u is pretty much sold out everywhere. gamestop, bestbuy, fingerhut, walmart, target, toysrus, etc..
I think the next shipment will be about 2 wks after launch then each store will probably be getting 5 systems every wk when there truck runs.

Most stores don't do that. Those who pre-order get it on Day 1 until the next shipment arrives. Then the stores will probably take more pre-orders, otherwise you have to go in there hoping that there's a spare one left that you can buy.

Hmm, I'll have to ask them again, I must have talked to the wrong sales associate at Kmart. There isn't many major retailers where I live, but Kmart and Meijer both said they will have them at launch day. I know the Kmart does pre-order online and Meijer doesn't. I'll have to check back with Kmart to see exactly what they are doing. When the 3DS launched, I stopped at Meijer and they couldn't even find their shipment of 3DS's, so I went to Kmart and bought one.
