Once again, a bunch of thanks for your helps, jimmyemunoz! :)
You are almost 100% correct. There's one thing I'd like to point out, you only need one of the following files, "YSmenu.nds" or "TTmenu.nds." The file you choose to pick is essentially the alternative kernel you're picking! Quick tip, most people put the "TTmenu.nds" or "YSmenu.nds" in their "Games" folder because it allows you to easily access that file (you won't have to jump folders). Do you understand?

This is how your setup works: You boot up 1.62b and you'd go into your "Games" folder, find the "TTmenu.nds" or "TTmenu.nds" file.....you'd highlight that file and then press the "A" button and that's what will start your alternative kernel choice! But anyways, you are very welcome, and have a great day. :)

You are completely correct. Only thing is you only need either YSmenu.nds or TTmenu.nds, and most people put it in their "games" folder because then you can easily select that file to open the TTmenu or YSmenu kernel. Okay? But anyways, you are very welcome. Have a great day. :)

Okay! Your instruction makes everything very clear to me now. Thanks, have your great day as well. :)

Your problem is simple. You have a slow Micro SD card. Choppiness, lag and issues with saving are attributed to your Micro SD card. I suggest you buy an Adata Class 6+ Micro SD card.
its not slow its fast. and a friend of mine is playing this on a old class 2 card.
The write speed is what the "Class" refers to, but the "READ" speed is why your friend is playing on a class 2 card. There are programs like "Crystal Disk Mark" that allow you to test your micro sd card. I'll bet you your friends card has better read speeds. The read speed is what's most important when it comes to playing games on your DS. Do you understand what I'm talking about?

¿Yes?. I have a 8 GB Class 10 Kingston, very very fast (see Tom´s Hardware benchs) with my R4i-Gold.Eu (with YsMenu) and my Pokemon Black 2 freezes sometimes at saving. This MicroSD is really fast at windows (20 Mb/s reading and 11 Mb/s writing). Really my microsd is not enough for a simple game of NDS?

Regards and thanks.

Well, first of all, where did you buy this micro sd card from? Have you tested your card using the program I mentioned earlier? The program is "Crystal Disk Mark". Download it and see your micro sd card's reading performance. There are a few things you could do to alleviate the problem. You could place just the kernel and the game on your Micro SD card, because random reads are much slower, and with your Micro SD card setup with just the game and kernel it will make the game a "sequential" read....and that could help.

Some info about the issue some of you are experiencing :)

Thank you very much for answer and info. I´ve bought that microsd at PCBOX, computers shop leader at Spain. At Crystal Disk Mark, my microsd have:

In the other hand, I´m going to test your instructions and later I tell you.

Thanks and regards.

@ Everyone

A new Multi Cart Update is available and the front page has been updated :). All Pokemon Black2/White 2 games have been fixed.

If you are still having problems with Black and White 2, then there is NOTHING I can do to help you except state yet again, USE ANOTHER µSD because if the freezing/saving issues people are having was due to AP still being present in the game, it would happen on ALL CARTS, not just certain peoples.

Do you see your terrible almost non-existent 4K write speed? Here is the performance of a genuine Sandisk 8Gb Class 4 that doesn`t have any of these mysterious issues:

You have a faulty of fake memory card so take it back to shop and get another brand. My class 4 card is better than your class 10 in all but raw transfer speeds which only matters when copying data onto the card.

Your hasty one-line posts with no thought put into them are dragging this entire topics in the doldrums. If your game is freezing when saving then the key specs are the 4K write speeds.

Furthermore, below is a comparison of the same MicroSD card before and after using the Panasonic formatter using Full Format (Erase Off) with block size adjustment set to ON (notice the 5MB on the card less space after the Panasonic format):
Before Panasonic Format:

After Panasonic Format (Full Format with Erase Off, Block Size Adjustment set to ON):

So... have you guys tried using the Panasonic formatter on these problematic cards? This is stated in the first post of the topic. *Sigh* I feel bad for retrogamefan having to deal with these ignorants on a daily basis. It`s understandable why he quit doing this for a while at one point. :(

Which dats files?? i want them

Simply open the directory of the Retro's Menu version you need and enter the folder called TTMenu. You just have to copy savlib.dat, infolib.dat, r4patch.dat and extinfo.dat in the folder of your YSMenu, like I did. The you must update the usrcheat.dat using the one given by Retro in his downloads. :)

Obviously that's what you can do if you have a flashcard supported by YSMenu... :P

Thank you for answer. I´ve taken it back to shop and I´ve got a 16 GB Samsung Class 6. I´ve done it benchmarks and 4K writing is much better. Anyway, I´ve asked a friend for some microsd (Class 10, 2...) that he uses for Pokemon Black 2 (with his M3DSREAL) without problems. The result is that my game still crashes at saving. So...the problem is in my flashcard (R4i-Gold.eu) undoubtedly. Now...¿what?. My flashcard is the problem, not the microSDs.

I've changed my stance, saving now crashes my Genuine Adata $12.00 dollar micro sd card. The problem is most likely the kernel. The Wood kernel doesn't exhibit saving issues, even with a cheap $4 dollar SanDisk 2GB Class 2 Micro SD card.
