Blue Dragon - Awakened Shadow was fairly fun to play co-op, had a good combat system from what I remember. Unfortunately it was not as strongly designed for online multiplayer as PSZ (for instance, I don't think you could do random grouping, but it's been a while since I fired it up.. maybe you can)

I liked one of the FFCC games, Echoes of Time, but I found some maps required very fine diagonal controls (jumping puzzles) that I couldn't execute with a DSi XL's d-Pad (but I'd have my partner literally carry me across those obstacles sometimes).
Unfortunately, story-wise, Echoes of Time is even worse when it comes to multiplayer/online multiplayer design because progress in the story will only apply to the group leader's save. Your experience in another players group will not contribute to your own story progress so if you really want to proceed through the story the same person needs to lead every time.

PSZ even with its flaws is the best multiplayer RPG for the DS. I say this with a level 64 RAmarl as my main -.- (this is actually the worst of all the classes for super-hard-mode groups)

Hmm have you tried Pokémon, some houses are 3D ;o

Trust me Pokémon is a lot of fun, it is deeper then most people think and it is a lot of fun to collect! ^^

Else you could try Final Fantasy III and IV, both are in full 3D animations. They are long, and also a lot of fun to play with a good story as well!(Pokémon has a 'Pretty' good story too btw.)

Also do we even have MMO's for 3DS? 0_o I mean like wut I know Heroes of Ruin is kinda like that but yeah...

Heroes of Ruin is like Diablo 3 but the OP didn't ever refer specifically to 3DS.

Some other good (though single-player) 3D RPGs for the DS: Golden Sun (VERY good game), Nostalgia, and both Kingdom Hearts games (though I like Re:coded more since I was 18 when the original KH game came out and it reminds me a lot of the original).

A couple of the most interesting RPGs for the DS are not 3D -- Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is a game that has a very story driven style but a really awesome combat system, especially once you start getting into the second & third day in-game and have access to demon auctions and fusion. It's a bit of a hybrid between strategy RPG, and pet collection. It is in some ways reminiscent of Persona but the combat system is different. However, the story has a lot of dialogue. I hope that doesn't "bore" a person interested in RPG genre.
I'm also a fan of "Contact" which is very unusual, more of an action RPG system, very unique storyline though.

I also recommend 999 which is more of an interactive novel and puzzle game than an RPG, it's one of the only rated "M" games on the DS system because it's a survival horror story with some strong language and situations.

Solatorobo. It's not a difficult game by any means (I didn't die once) but it's very enjoyable none the less. If you're a fan of atmosphere and a good story, this is right up your alley. This game is to the DS as Miyazaki films are to anime.
